Firmare/Software updates?

Every program starts off as Linux/Unix. Which is a free platform to code programs. And all Apple products are based off that platform. It makes sense why AC always gets first dibs with less glitches over AA.

Not sure what that has to do with AC having wireless and AA not. Android is based on Linux and is open source.

There's that one post on here about the owner in Japan that did it; They list the specs but not the particular camera they bought. If I could find the camera that would fit I would have done this already.

If someone wants to post on his YT video and can speak basic Japanese, he/she might provide the model info. I haven't studied the language in like five years myself, not conversational by any means.

If you look across all manufacturers infotainment system. Wireless AC is standard for all models where some models also support wirless AA. But not all do. Maybe its me that see's it or its just a coincidence that it seems to be that way

I thought it was maybe Apple forcing them to include it, but the Sport trim doesn't have wireless AC. It's not available in Canada either for the Performance model, which has the 8" infotainment of the Sport trim.

That is beyond asinine that a $60,000 car lacks android auto or apple carplay at this point, honestly.

It does have it, just not wireless.

Yeah, I guess I was just trying to see if anyone had seen an update. I haven't seen an update since I bought my car in April 2023.

For my '23 it seems like it was just a map update, which, while appreciated, doesn't really add any cool new features.

I really don't think there was a software update for the Performance because the the software version didn't change.

For the Sport, hmm, it'd probably be a trip to the dealer and a flash drive and leave you $200 lighter.

Any Sport owners know?

It's been two years for my car with no update (excluding maps that I don't use). I feel like the longer the car exists the less likely an update will appear.

Are you able to connect to your home wifi? That's how I update my GR86 and Forester.

I'm sure the car will get updates if needed, Though the problem with being a sport is like you mentioned, it lacks the cellular modem so OTA isn't there out of the box. You can take it to Nissan, I would think since its under warranty you should be able to get that for free, should one be available.

The only way you are going to likely know is if the tech can plug the car into Consult and check.
