Stock tires are absolutely awful. I've got about 12k on my car atm, and plenty of tread life left, but I also don't do any hard launches either. About the only thing these tires have going for them is that they have lasted about a year.

1st mod I did was swapped tires for Michelin Pilot sports at 15miles on odometer.

I see alot of support for the Michelin Pilot sports, has anyone tried out the BFGoodrich G-Force Comp2 AS+? (Shopping ...) Same 45K warranty.

If I go for max performance tires, the PS4S will likely be my choice, they seem to be good tires based on my experience.

My current debate is do I go PS4S, or do I jump into the 200TW category and pick up a set of RE-71RS. Both of these would be 285's in the rear. Either one would be fine considering where my car is kept I rarely see anything near 50 degrees, so thankfully weather is a non issue.

I have used both of those on my track car. If you are tracking in the dry, I highly recommend the RE71-RS. If you track in the wet, I highly recommend the PS4S. If you don't track it, and especially if you drive in the rain, go for PS4S. The PS4S is, by far, the best all around (except snow) tire that I've ever used.

The car will likely see autox, so at the very least the S007's need to go. Being in FL, I do see quite a bit of rain in the summer months. Tracking in the rain will likely be nil, but still possible. Tire Rack gave the RE71-RS some good ratings for wet, but I really need to sit down and figure out if I want the trade off of the 200TW on the street with the wet roads I encounter. The PS4S have always been pretty solid for daily driven tires, can't go wrong there though.

Yeah I'm with Thefunk.. I'm sitting at 10.5k miles, I don't track but I drive aggressively at least once a month with plenty of burnouts and tailslides.. My tires aren't even close to worn out.

I do find it interesting how different everyone's experience is with the tires.. People complain about their performance often, but I enjoy the fact they don't fully grip and you can peel off a corner and swing around a bit. Probably the most fun I have in the car.
I recall hearing that the 1st Gen BRZ twins were equipped with the same tires as the Prius, specifically so it would be tail happy

My only complaint really is that I come from owning previous Nissans models that had premium bose audio, I was excited when I got the performance Z that Advertised premium Bose audio. However I feel the speakers and audio settings are extremely lacking. Something’s off about it, even with the same exact audio settings that I had on my 2024 pathfinder, are not there and It does not sound the same.

That and the back up camera, it’s a downgrade, I’m used to seeing minute details while backing up!!

I agree, the audio is lacking considering it is Bose ... I expected more. As for the back up camera, I drove a 2003 Dodge Neon for 21 years before buying my Z ... so, I didn't have any cameras or any driver assist. That being said ... never had a ticket or accident either. I am saving up bail money for the Z though ... may have to open a gofundme ....

It’s not that I expected more, It’s that I went expecting the same sound, but it’s completely different, especially hearing songs with the same eq settings on different models!

I understand haha it’s a perk, but I was spoiled by their higher lineup 360’s cameras that would have help I think with parking on this car more, but that rear and front camera Are extremely crisp on the pathfinder, so imagine my surprise and horror to see the difference on this one! It’s funny but the pathfinder back up camera is cheaper than the Nissan z.
My understanding is that the wiring is not compatible either way, but it would still need programming I think! lol

Agreed, This is my first Nissan ever. Like I said, my base was a 21 year old car. I love the Z so far, comapred to a Neon ... epically a step newer. The camera is 10x better than my wife's 2015 Chrylser 200c. Still learning and truly appreciate all inputs from the forums! Always open to learning new things. I still don't trust the cameras ... I have to look for myself.,

The complaints about the sound system in the new Z are missing an important factor: shape of the car. I have the Bose system in my Z. I think it sounds great. My Murano doesn't have Bose but the sound is "bigger" and more spacious. The shape of the car matters a lot. The Z wasn't designed to have a good sound system.

Great point. I have a Bose system in my Frontier Pro4x. It sounds broader than the Z.

Looking at resale on Z’s, lost so much money buying this I’m stuck in it is probably regret #1. Only plus to that, I know it has been driven with me in the car for 99% of the miles!

You can't look at that way. Might as well drink water and eat bread to save $$. What about taking a woman out, that will drain your pocket. Worst is the divorce. Ask me how I know LOL!!

I have around two more years left living in the state. I am thinking of getting a Z to enjoy while I can.

Just curious, did you pay over MSRP? My lesson over the years in the the housing market to never overbid (offer over asking). I once made a house purchase and paid over asking price. I said to myself to never do that again. There will be people with deeper pockets and let them...
