Why are Nismo seats designed with no pull to access the rear cubbies???

I have taken advantage of having "manually adjusting seats" in my Nismo. According to my DL, I'm 5'8. But since I keep getting older 🤣 I'm probably shorter now. The thing is that every time I would get in or out of the car, I would kick the door panel at the bottom of the speaker. Already messing up the finish.
I've found the perfect solution. A simple pull of the lever and the sit goes all the way back. Now I have perfect clearance. Once I go in to drive it, I just pull a few notches and I'm set.
On my previous Performance model, I wouldn't be able to do that because the seats are electric.
Now my door panel is nice and clear. 🙌🏻

I've been doing this since my 370Z Nismo that it's become 2nd nature. It a good way to prevent scuffs to the bottom of the steering wheel as well.

And the wearing of the side of the seat bolster, if you have it long enough. Yeah, a 2010 370Z Nismo owner…

At a little under a year old, my shoulder bolster is already showing wear where I hook my elbow to lever myself out.

My M4 suffered this same fate. I found supporting your weight on the doorsill helps a bit. Still awkward to get out though

I'll try that!
I've switched to elbow against the B pillar up by the back window, but it's a bit of a stretch.
