No idea what I will use the turbo RPM gauge for yet haha.
I plan to use it when I get ready to roll my Z down a runway, just as a check to make sure I have as much thrust as possible for take-off. Strapping on a additional jet engine and wings to maintain altitude looks to be a bit of a challenge, though.

They're condensation drain holes.

FedEx really did a number on that... Are you going to contact AWE for a replacement or run it as-is?
i going to give it a try. It‘s surprising in good shape. I’m most worried about the weld splatter in the mufflers.

Yesterday on the way home, traffic was being a PITA like usual.

My buddy was behind me in his Tesla. Not sure what model, I never saw a badge. It's not the scrunched up baby one.

I saw an opening to get around Pokie, I gunned it and "Jay" followed. Slowed down for a red light, geared down to 2nd (manual trans), light turned green so I hammered it. He might have been into the throttle before me, so that might have made "some" difference.. Come into 3rd gear, I glance in the rearview and "Jay" is closing the gap real quick...I stayed in it and he just drove around me with authority. I was shocked. I knew the Tesla was most likely quicker...I just didn't expect it to be THAT much quicker. I have a CAI and the Stillen Tru Control so my car isn't slow. I know it isn't the quickest thing on the streets, but still...

I rented a dual motor Model S last year for work (EV charger development) and drove it home a few times. Never felt anything like that in my life. It was absolutely boring to drive, but put it in “Insane” mode or whatever it was called, and it was like a top fuel dragster … for a few seconds, then it was boring again. The acceleration is crazy. But it was a pretty bland car to drive other than that.

Yeah , it is a reality check for sure..
Just recently i got the opportunity to test drive a Tesla ( lower model , nothing special ) and i was shocked at the acceleration .....it was actually embarrassingly quick !!

Made me realize as much as i LOVE my ICE powered sports cars , most day-to-day EV,s will absolutely flog them in straight line performance.

I drove a C8 Corvette and I thought I was gonna love it. The launch mode (Z Mode or whatever it's called) was NUTS! But normal driving was boring, just like you said. That car NEEDS a manual trans.

When I had my Mach 1, one of those VW suv electrics ran me. It was pretty much a dead heat. For the electric to be that quick and just a boring vehicle to look at, you gotta give props. But you're right, most of them are shockingly quick lol

The torque on the EV’s is pretty incredible but nothing feels, sounds, or looks like an ICE Z.

I pissed off one on the interstate in my taco - he disappeared on a 2-3 mile straight section in a blink - I’m guess the Z could run the battery down and force it into limp mode - lol

what brand of charger? I was on the development & manufacturing team for residential & commercial chargers. We developed & manufactured BMW‘s (usa version) residential charger (our charger packaged in a $1K enclosure that matched the car‘s center console) for the I3/I8 initial launch.

also spent 2-3 years developing a 3 phase 480VAC quick charger (20min.).

I work for a fuel management company and we’re implementing all types of chargers into our equipment. The only one I know by name is Siemens. Our stuff is for fleet fueling.
