Is that knob for the 370z? Looks like the 370 z logo.
Yup. I could have chose blank or just the shift pattern. They don’t have the retro Z as an option. I don’t care though. The car is literally a 370z that had a baby with a Q60 and some design dna of its Great Great Grandpa and its Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather as well.

A rock cracking a windshield has absolutely nothing to do with the build quality of an automobile. Sucks that it happened. When you get it replaced, I would demand OE glass and not allow them to install generic glass. I used to work for an Auto Glass company back in the day so I saw a lot of replacement glass. Some of the cheap brands are not as nice. Some are made well and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference except for branding.
+1 on all of the above.

Had to get a new windshield in a Honda Accord, , 1998 Mustang, a brand new Highlander, 2 for a Mustang S550 back to back (the replacement was OEM as well). The Mustang and the Highlander showed a bunch of small chips...I've been pleasantly surprised with the Nissan not showing any.

Also the Mustangs (I've had 3 S550s) all showed rock chips easily on the front bumper cover/hood/around the windshield. The Z doesn't show any yet. Real happy about that.

I've got a few rounds of goodies coming for the Z over the next week or so! I ordered the blue Nismo side mirror covers, the Stillen TruControl module, and the popular Z front lip off Amazon.

Really happy to see a painted black option for a lip. Not a fan of carbon fiber personally. I'm not lowered nor do I have plans to so I hope it doesn't look out of place.

I've been eyeing the Alpharex headlights for a while as well but the quality seems sketchy for $1400. The install requires the whole bumper to come off as well so if there was an issue over time, it wouldn't be a fun process to take them out.
Yours might be flat black. I think I saw the ebay one with more gloss like.

It looks like between yesterday and today, they removed the Painted Black option. Not sure why but the one I bought is definitely the painted gloss one.

I bought and had them locally installed, the vinyl stripe has the same metallic as the car. I’ll call the detail shop Monday and see if I can get the shade and manufacturer

Takes a physical therapist to fix it right, nice job! :)

Pics of the installed CZP oil cooler? I’m contemplating.

Started working on the car last night after I got home from work....installing a CZP oil cooler and a Z-1 heat exchanger.

I thought the Z1 heat exchanger doesn’t work on our Nismo? I also wonder if the upgraded HX works with the secondary smaller exchanger? I notice on Z1 it says not compatible with Nismo.

Agree, in my opinion, the one thing Nissan got right was the upgraded cooling on the Nismo, wouldn’t touch it, it’s a robust system.

Today, I installed the fourth dash cam in the last month. After trying two Thinkware models, I moved over to a Garmin Mini 3, and then finally went with a VIOFO A329S. To be fair, the Garmin was 1080, and I was not happy with the video quality, the Thinkware both require a full 12 volts as they have a barrel plug (or at least that is my understanding, either way, the quality on the first was not to my satisfaction and the second one was too big). The issue of voltage is only in play if you want to tap off the mirror, as it provides less power, and I did. If you are hardwiring to get the full advantage (parking monitoring etc.) then carry on if you like the Thinkware products.

The VIOFO worked, in that it could be mounted onto the cover between the mirror and the windshield and be entirely out of sight for the driver. That was a major plus. I purchased a mirror tap after reading C89's post (thanks @C89 ) from AliExpress that seems to be doing the trick and was considerably less cost than the Donger tap.

The camera comes with a mount that is about 1/2" thick, and I skipped that to reduce the amount of visibility and just connected the camera directly to the plastic cover using the supplied 3M tape. Time will tell if this will hold up.

Power is gained through the USB on the side of the unit that would ordinarily be used to download files. The mount is where the power is intended to be connected, but this worked well.

During a brief test run this afternoon, I was easily able to capture plates of oncoming cars and parked cars. I will do a night test in the next while to see if the results are what the manufacturer promises.

It looks good. Maybe once you know the setup works fine, get some wire tape from Aliexpress as well to tape up the wires coming out of the mirror, making the 2 red wires less noticeable.
