Went out for a fun drive?
Met other interesting car people?
Mods?
Upgrades?

I'll start.

Like a few others here have done, added the "Fairlady Z" badging to my spoiler and removed the "Z" in the centerplate on the rear. Got it from thezstore.com it's OEM with a nissan sticker / part number. The blue foam around it really helped line it up right too.

First mod I did! Love it!

Today I finally hit 1,000 miles. I’m on vacation from work so I’ve finally been able to drive my Z. I have to say…. It’s an absolute pleasure driving her every single time!

Nice!!
Yeah this is my first mod too... if you don't count the K&N air filters.

I know the feeling. I was just away for a bit for 4th of July and as soon as I got back went for a long drive. Couldn't wait to drive the Z again!

Is that the rosewood? Looks quite red in that pic. Does it change hue in different lighting?

Yup. Rosewood. Some days I think it looks more bronze than maroon-ish and somedays I think it looks kind of purple. It's a fun color and absolutely depends on the lighting. To me, the pictures do not do it justice. When I saw it online before I bought it I thought it was a pretty cool color but when I saw it in person I fell in love.

Here are some more pix. First two are the day I bought it. The next two was on a drive a couple weeks later.

In the pic that color is so close to Indy Red - color on my M60 M5 - LOVED that color. The Rosewood is beautiful - has a cinammon look.

I washed it.
I find myself washing mine like once every two weeks at the car wash. I'll do it by hand a couple times every summer. Looks so good when clean.

I figure if I'm not driving it I may as well play with it.

Just ordered the Z logo center cap's for my wheels from my local dealer. Should have them next week.

If anyone is curious it's part number: T98W3-6GP0A
How hard is it to take off center caps without removing tire/wheel?

I am not sure? They look like they should just pop-off which has been my experience with older cars. Some kind of plastic (so I don't scratch the wheel) thin blade-type tool should be able to pop them off. I am not 100% though so if anyone else knows and can confirm that would be great.

I know I got the tools to at least try that but definitely not going to force anything. Worst case is I break the "Nissan" ones and figure out how to get the "Z" ones on there.

I just ordered floor mats and should have added these, but I still feel that this should have been standard equipment.
