Hey, I'm kind of falling in love with the new Z and I am thinking about getting a 2027 Nismo with stick.
I'm sure this is the best place to get some straight answers before I cut a check that may or may not have to be for $80k.
I know the Nismo option cleans up nearly all of the complaints about the platform's handling/braking, but if you price it out with all Nismo upgrades it rivals what I paid for my current toy.
Is it worth grabbing a sport edition instead, with manual, then going FBO, upgraded fuel, slightly upsized turbos (to prevent power drop off up top only), upgrading cooling, and a full aftermarket suspension upgrade? Or will that end up costing way more than just snagging a Nismo with all factory upgrades and then doing a turbo upsize and tune?
Also, what are the weakpoints of the engine and transmission and well the whole drivetrain, if I should I decide to go balls deep with power later?
Coming in ignorant here. Would greatly appreciate any input.
