Anybody using one that they would recommend for the Z? Had used a few back in the days for jetskis with mixed experience.

I bought the NOCO 1amp model with the quick disconnect

NOCO GENIUS1: 1A 6V/12V Smart... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W46BX31?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

NOCO GC002 X-Connect M6 Eyelet... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004LWQ35Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I also considered the 2amp model that you mount near the battery w/ quick disconnect

NOCO GENIUS2D: 2A 12V Smart Onboard Battery Charger - Direct-Mount Automatic Maintainer, Trickle Charger & Desulfator with Overcharge Protection & Temperature Compensation – for Lead-Acid Batteries https://a.co/d/01dQ0R8m

I ran the NOCO Genius 2 and the quick disconnect fitting also. Works like a charm

Glad to see this thread. I need to get one, for those times when the weather is bad and my Z is chilling in the garage. It's what one fellow member here was calling a "pavement princess." ;)

I have had good luck with an inexpensive 800ma charger which I use for my project car, motorcycle, and tractor: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWDZ2KQ

I just install a 3' connector from the battery out the grill area, where it is zip tied and tucked away when not in use.

If I am not using the Z for a week or more I will use a charger with terminal clamps that came with a '21 Camaro SS I owned for a while, tickles me to use a Chevy branded charger on the Nissan.

How about just daily the car like it's meant to be?
Ok nice weather Texas man :cwl:

I let the WRX take the brunt of the salt, rocks and potholes in winter. And it handles better in slippery conditions. I also didn't buy winter or all season tires for Z.

I mean I understand if you get like a foot of snow or something. I've had 8 Mustangs and I've taken them thru whatever mother nature could throw at me. The Z is no different. Yes I live in Texas not my fault y'all live in the north with all those no brain goons up there. Unless you're out of town for months on end, I see no point in a tender. Also if the Z is your weekend car, that means you have money. So a $200 battery should be a drop in the rain for you.
