I've pretty much decided that I will keep the current Nismo since it checks all the boxes for me. I'm contemplating doing something even more impractical like buying a 90s classic, 3000 GT or a Stealth.
300ZX Twin Turbo, wish I still had it.

The 3000GT was a marvel of engineering. A car before its time, especially the VR4. I've heard they can be a money pits, even if you get a healthy specimen. Someone in my neighborhood has one in his(?) garage that's been sitting covered with boxes/etc for YEARS.
Although I never owned one, I'm with @Katum68 on the 300ZX. Maybe even an A80 Supra...although finding an A80 that hasn't been thoroughly molested would be a chore. If Z32 or A80 isn't on the table, I'd look into importing a GT-R (R33 for me) before I'd do a 3000GT. That's just my opinion though.

Since Nissan tweaked the 9 speed for the 2024 Nismo, you would think that they may have something different for the 6 speed with the future one.
That’s exactly what I was concerning. I wonder what Nismo will do to cover the lack of enhancement they did on AT Nismos’ transmission. But if they just do enhancement on manual transmission to just be able to handle the higher torque and power, tbh I will just stay with my current AT Nismo.

Knowing Nissan, they will do the bare minimum. Probably a clutch upgrade.

To be clear, MB doesn't build a JR913E. "JR913E" is JATCO's licensed version of MB's 725.O 9G-Tronic AT. MB does have a dual clutch variant of the 9G-Tronic. Would be nice to see that in the RZ34 AT, but I assume it would come at a premium, and a second assumption, that Nissan isn't going to go that route unless they planned to turn the Z into their Halo car, like the GT-R was. Not even sure if JATCO's licensed version would support the wet clutch packs without modification anyway.
MT is the best route they could go transmission-wise on the NISMO, but DCT (or what MB calls "MCT") would be pretty cool.

That's the most I can think of Nissan will do. Which makes sense like 370z nismos, and the fact that the true reason for a nismo is never a huge power increase(for the zs).

Yeah, the 3000GT has a lot of baggage. If I could find one that has been taken care of that would be great, but that's not going to be easy. I've also pondered the idea of an R32, I really like that year and way more affordable than the later years.

That's exactly what I'm wondering. Yesterday, as I took the Nismo for a ride, I was thinking that the MT will not behave the same once you change the driving mode to Sport & Sport+. A MT cannot be programmed to change according to the modes. So I have a felling that many will be disappointed and will opt out of changing their AT to the manual.

They will have to figure out a way to select the mode for sport + since that activates the hot tune for the Nismo. Usually the rev match button goes there. Maybe that's the hold up. I would think this version would be coming sooner than later.

Brace yourself for the $20k trade-in value for your car. Makes way more sense to put $ into your current car to make it exactly how you want it to to be. That Nismo will tank to as soon as you drive it off the lot. DON’T DO IT.

Clutch and usually matched diff gear pack if Nissan doesn’t cheap out.
