Like the conversation on this thread, I specifically went with the 350z over the 370 due to it being my daily and double duty as my road car. The trunk has more usable room than the 370z and the area immediately behind the rear speakers is a great spot for the dog.

I use soft, luggage so 2 large bags and 1 small bag form fit in the back and I can still see out the rear center window. Drove the TreeFiddy down to the beach from Lake Oswego to Cannon Beach. And from L.O. to Phoenix 3 times with enough clothes and gear for a week at a time for each trip.

LiL Rascal will hang out of the window forever if you let him, so I had to get the goggles to keep his eyes from drying out. He'll lay in his spot all sad and stuff until he gets his window seat and the fur starts flying, It's how he got his name "Enzo" . . .

This way doesn't require taking the bike to pieces ...

It might not be too good for aerodynamics though ... and watch those low parking garage roofs. ;)
A buddy of mine who competes in triathlons carried his bikes like this. He destroyed two $4k+ bikes once by forgetting and pulling into his garage. He now has a rear mounted carrier.

I wonder what people are doing to stop stuff sliding around in the back. It's way more space than my MR2 and I made that work, but I'm pretty keen to not have surprise passengers on hard braking.
