$29.99 for an oil change when I do it myself it costs a lot more. Yet I just don't want dealer's hands on my car. Idk what it is. I know people that worked in auto shops at the dealer and they're not grimy people. Just don't want my car back at the dealer unless absolutely necessary.

They must be slow. Trying to drum up some business, they get people to come in for an oil change and write up a list of things they need done and try to upsell. This ad is solely aimed at the Altima owner.

When I use dealers, I usually tell them to leave 1 quart out, give it to me to add, & I check the level in the service bay. You could also go as far as, date the new oil filter, and ask for the removed filter to check you prior date. Although, I'm like you, and almost always have changed the oil myself.

If it was an Altima or a Sentra then I would take them up on a cheap oil change. On the Z, I want different oil at a different viscosity done at closer intervals. On top of that, like you guys, I want only my grimy fingers on my car unless absolutely necessary!!

when I bought my NISMO in Nov of 23 it came with a package I had to pay for that had 2 oil changes included. so I finally had my 2nd one done last week. I make an appt at 930am it was a 2 hour wait even with an appt. last time I will get it done at the dealer but I was determined to get the oil changed I had already paid for just out of spite

I got a complimentary 3 years of oil changes and tire rotations at the dealer on the 2023 Sentra so Im using that.

All other vehicles I've never had anyone do an oil change in 20 years, I always do it myself.

I just cannot stand the inevitable missing bolts/screws from undercovers and 5,000 foot lb. torque on the drain plug and oil filter.
