I actually spoke with Silvers about this and they said that the lower coilover mount will bend first before the shock tower will get damaged. Remember the bums stop is mounted on the shock even on the oem divorced setup so when the car bottoms hard all that force is transferred to the shock tower.
Selling my Silvers 2 way damping adjustable coilovers. About 6K street only miles, never driven in rain. In good condition with normal wear from just being on the car. Separate compression and separate rebound adjustment. Installed are 16K front springs and 7K rear springs. The bump stops have...
I bought the oem Nissan AW mats. They looked great but the quality was a bit meh as the rubber was really soft and they would wear the rubber with foot pressure while getting in and out of the car. If I had to do it again I would go with Weathertech as they are very durable.
I was using 63mm overall length studs with 12mm or 15mm spacers depending on my alignment and tire size with oem wheels and lug nuts to get the perfect oem+ fitment . With a 63mm stud you can run 12mm-20mm spacers no problem.
Yes, knock them out first, they are not in that tight and you can get the oem studs out with the hub still on the car. The aftermarket studs are usually a bit tighter fit. I put a dab of WD40 on the knurled ends to help them press in using an impact and a stud installation tool, get one they are...
You will have the whole brake system off anyway so its easier just to remove the hub completely, install the studs on the bench and reinstall the hub. Yes, its bolted in from the back, if I remember correctly its just 4, 17mm bolts. Dont forget to remove the ABS sensor first.
I did them on my Nismo. The front hubs must be removed from the knuckle as there is no area to slip in an extended stud in from the back. The rear there is one spot where you can slip in and rotate the extended stud into place.
I have 6k street miles on these, so the ride is a 7 out of 10 as for stiffness, 5 being stock Nismo. They are set up for fast road or track, they make the car feel very tight and very responsive. I do have remote adjusters for the rear but I didn't want to drill my interior plastic so I never...
Here is a pic of the upgrades I did to the rear shock. The lower soft foam bushing eliminates any noise coming from the rear upper mount, its pretty much like stock as far as noise goes. I also did a progressive bump stop on all 4. This all gets covered by the boot and spring once installed...
What you are describing is normal wear for track. The Z calipers have 4 pistons that are all the same size, this will cause uneven pad wear no matter what you do on track. Racing calipers will have different size pistons to try to equalize the pressure and have more even pad wear. The...
Clutch type is usually a 2 way or a 1.5 way, that means its active during acceleration and deceleration. It can also chatter at low speeds when making tight turns. Its also tunable in how hard the lockup is and how quickly it can come on, but has to be disassembled to make any changes...
Racing brake has released a nice 2 piece rotor set for the Nismo if anyone is interested.. Over 30lb weight savings over oem .

%25 is a discount since most new cars increased in price over %30+ from 2020 to 2024. This is obviously a power play to force other countries hands to rethink their tariff policies against the US.
