what gets me the most is they cant update pre-orders or lock in pricing.
wonder what the price will be now?

glad I cancelled my pre-order.

I think they may just be covering their asses in case the mrsp does increase in 2023, so people new to the build and price won't be like yo wtf!

Either way, it's still kind of disappointing we haven't seen any of them show up, Protos, demos it anything. Driving season 2022 is almost over.

I don't know about Canadian regulations. But Ford Bronco (another limited availability vehicle) showed up in Fall of 2020, and several months later for MY2021 was already getting a price increase. Then it got a second mid-MY2022 price increase. And likely will see a third price increase soon for MY2023.

So I wouldn't put it past Nissan to bump the Z price up in the coming months for MY2023 (even though it was just introduced).

What’s crazy is spec’d out right now the new Z is coming in at just under $73000 and Nissans advertised interest rate is 7.49-7.89%. Not sure how much higher the price can get and how many people are actually willing to pay it

OK so this is interesting. Here is a comparison between financing a Nissan Z Performance MT and a Toyota Supra 3.0 MT. First screenshot is Nissan and second is Supra. For the numbers sake I've put zero down payment, chose 84 months and included taxes and other fees to get comparable monthly payment amounts. With the discrepancy in the interest rates you can get a Supra at a much more reasonable rate and only pay $54 more monthly for a car that's worth 10k CAD more. If you buy the Z you're basically paying the same for a car inferior in almost every way but looks. I'm sure everyone's numbers are gonna be different depending on how much you put down and what term you choose, but at the advertised rates the Z makes NO sense to buy. Unless its cash, but how many of us are doing that lol.

Was on the fence between the Z and the Supra MT. Now that the excitement has long passed and with the constant delays of the Z.. I'm no longer interested and will just be ordering a 23 Supra MT next spring. Good luck to those that are patient enough and still ordering a Z.

If they say "pricing may increase" it's a 100% sure deal that pricing will increase.

It's like when the government says "we're considering to tear down that historic building" the bulldozers are already on their way.
Or when the government says it is coming to "help" you. Might as well start bending over.

I was hoping I can order one next September of 2023. By the look of it, I prolly won't order one until 2024. That's a bit of let down!!
