No red available on a sports car?! How about a straight up red (no metallic/triple coat/hue changing stuff). Just a nice real straight up red. (Like my BRZ.)
I live in the state of Illinois Chicago area and still haven't seen a Z in the wild. It's a major metro area, thought I'd have at least seen one by now.
Another constrained vehicle the Ford Bronco (COVID/prod issues/demand) has finally started appearing in greater numbers in my area. Although...
My monthly check-in ... glad to see a Z finally arrived for some of you!
By the way, is the dealership having the car covered with a sheet/bow for customer pickup an Australian thing? (I've noticed it in several photos.)
Congrats! Still haven't seen a Z in the wild in Chicagoland. Iowa seems the place to buy. I got my Bronco for the original under 30k price at a dealer in Granger IA last month.
"not long now" has lost meaning, lol. Checking back here every month or so, people are still waiting for vehicles that supposedly are just around the corner. (Feels like a certain play.) That said, hopefully for real your vehicle arrives soon.
Oh man, I use to live in Fort Collins CO, and some of the hail storms were brutal. My son drove our BRZ out there last year and of course, got hit by hail and a few dents. :( Hope you continue to avoid that stuff.
Are you doing the non interstate route just for fun or to aid with engine...
Not sure about AU regulations or Nissan policy, but for the first new Bronco model year 2021 in the USA, Ford had customer orders for two colors (Rapid Red and Antimatter Blue). And yet Ford still dropped those colors after only one year offering. Customers with unfulfilled orders had to select...
Auto dealerships wanting to keep their status and power.
Snips from the article:
"The car dealers in Dallas were gathering on the 10-year anniversary of a triumphant 2013 stand they took, as a political bloc, against direct sales in Texas. That year, the Legislature of the Lone Star State...
I haven't seen a live Z yet, only photos. Overall the increasing costs and aggravations around cars, has kind of turned me off, never thought that would happen as a lifelong "car guy". I'm probably going to ride out my first gen BRZ and other current vehicles, focus on other things in life. A Z...
A year or so ago reading the tea leaves, I predicted 2024 before a non-connected MSRP type person like me, would see a Z delivered and in my driveway. Now I'm not even sure if that is optimistic?
Of concern is any mid or yearly price hikes. Those have been hitting some vehicles hard. What will...
Not cool - hope they find this serial paint scratcher and put her out of business:

"Video shows woman keying more than 400 cars at dealerships in Vancouver area"
I had no idea these bonnet poppers even existed until now. o_O I'll have to check my other cars to see if they have them. Maybe it's just a thing for lower slung vehicles? If my Ford Bronco ever arrives, I hope it doesn't have these poppers, because it's going be scraping and hitting things...
Professional ceramic coating is out for me due to cost. I've tried some spray on "hybrid" ceramic coatings, but got a lot of streaking, the surface of my red car looked horrible depending on angle of light shining. I spent a lot of time trying to get rid of the streaking, ended up wiping down...
What's up with the midwest especially Chicagoland, seems like a deadzone for Zs. I still haven't seen a Z in person, was hoping by now a dealership around here would have one on display.
There is a mentality out there that the people perpetrating these crimes, are really good kind people, who have been treated poorly by society, and that the victims of the crimes, are in some way culpable. And the approach to dealing with the situation, is to throw more money and resources, into...
Subaru dealership overfilled the oil in my BRZ. Last straw was Kia dealership overfilling our Soul. The latter was just before a long trip, I had to carefully drain nearly a quart of oil with hand pressing up against the drainplug easing it out.
I mistakenly figured the dealerships would best...
In 2020 when I bought my econo car, I think the Bolt was still up around 37K MSRP (minus rebate). So I was still looking at near double the cost. But yes the prices have come down, and probably my next economy car will be an EV if still living in an urban area.
