Yep. Classic lol. What i dont like about this move is that nissan is already in a bad spot financially and we are just kicking the can further instead of trying to build the brand back. We just had our biggest z fest event and nissan canada did not sponsor or market this event this time. The president of our bc z registry group said that they eliminated most if not all of the marketing teams and the regional manager who said she was gonna make a appearance, did not show up.You know a lot of people will eat their words here lol.
Nissan is forced to do major cost-cutting and that includes promotional teams. It's really up to us, local groups to hype up not only the Z but other Nissans and Infiniti. Glad that Z Across America (ZAAR) is doing well, we're seeing about 35 Zs signed up for the west coast run CA to AZ this coming week. There will also be JCCS this October, hoping good representations by Datsun/Nissans. Will taking my RB 240Z there for display.Yep. Classic lol. To me, it all depends on pricing. There is no way I'll shell out over $65K for any Nismo Z even if a manual is offered, which I think will command higher prices than the auto anyway. You know a lot of people will eat their words here lol.
It turned out great anyway, just that nissan canada didnt bother just leaves a sour taste for the people showing love to the brand and car. We broke our last years record with over 125 z cars i believeNissan is forced to do major cost-cutting and that includes promotional teams. Lol! I don't know what to make of this info other than you're kidding right?I just went to my local Nissan dealership, and funny they were literally looking at training videos on the upcoming nismo manual. They also shared a nismo electric model is coming out and will be soo fast, estimated to go 1.3 0-60… wild.
Not just the gearbox, the best part of a Nismo Z is, IMO, the factory suspension tuning, it performs very well, more than the slight 20hp power bump. The manual gearbox just adds to the desirability to people that have to have a manual Nismo Z. Similar direction as the GR Supra.....I enjoy my performance Z and before I even contemplate dumping it for a NISMO manual that car would need more upgrades than just the gear box.
Nooo not kidding. I literally did not believe them. I went to go inquire on an armada pro 4x. They saw my Z of course, and shared how they can’t get rid of any of there nismos Z. (They have 9, that’s right 9 nismo’s that can’t get sold). So I was like well probably cus they’re automatic, and one of them pulls up their damm tablets and shows me the training they are currently taking on the upcoming manual nismos, and how Nissan is also going to make an electric version, 0-60 at approximately 1.3 seconds. Nearly fainted.Lol! I don't know what to make of this info other than you're kidding right?
What did the training videos consist of? How to convey the message? Or are there specific details about the offering?I just went to my local Nissan dealership, and funny they were literally looking at training videos on the upcoming nismo manual. I have a manual Z performance and I've already dumped money on the car (Alpha500) package and some suspension mods. There is no way in hell I would sell it just to get a nismo which it would be a lot slower. Only thing I like about the nismo is the seats. If you came from an auto Sports, then that would be more sense. If actually true I’m glad they’re doing it should have offered it from the start. That being said I have to see how many people dump their current Z for the NISMO manual. It seems to me a lot of these folks are most likely the same ones who chose an automatic or a manual Z the first place. I enjoy my performance Z and before I even contemplate dumping it for a NISMO manual that car would need more upgrades than just the gear box.
maybe the same 450hp rumored for the Q50 with a DCT to stick with the current nismo auto theme. The g6r needs a new home..going to be interesting to see if and how they integrated Sport+ mode into the manual while keeping the rev match button as is. its doable through an in dash setting possibly like changing the cluster display.
If they leave it out you arnt getting the full nismo experience as Sport+ actually changes engine timing . also I wonder if there will be a little power bump to compensate of the manual being slower acceleration
