I can’t believe that car doesn’t come with some of the creature comforts (heated seats)of the performance. Seams crazy to me. Maybe it’s because I am older.
They are using a recaro back with a custom OEM bottom I think it was cost effective to not try to integrate the heated seat

Is there any information on the new fuel tank design?

No I think today was the first anyone heard of it. It wasn't in the January JDM presentation. My guess is it isn't a full redesign as you can't really get away from the saddle bag set up on the Z without a big overhaul . I think it's gonna be they put baffles in the tank to help with the slosh or at best some type of surge tank like how the aftermarket has already done. Again just a guess at this point if it's something more than that I will be surprised

I hope for our sake that we can purchase and fit whatever part that addresses the fuel starvation issue, and also for Nissans sake too, because if we can’t, I can see a court case unfolding.

Funny enough the wording differs here:

“Fuel tank revisions on the full Z lineup help maintain consistent performance during aggressive track driving.”

Fuel tank size isn’t referred in the new spec sheets, but the consumption is the same, so there is no way they could alter the tanks shape without affecting the size to at least 1 litre imo,

A court case because there is fuel starvation when running the car in track conditions? I highly doubt that. I can’t see a judge holding Nissan at fault because their cars don’t perform well at a track.

Thank f'ing god they finally fixed this. It's only been a problem with the Z's(we have the same tank as the Z34 which is almost identical to the z33, all have the same issue) for what, 24 years now? It took them 24 years to fix their track ready sportscar starving for fuel on track if not more than 3/4th tank full...

I'm just glad they finally got around to it, did the right thing, and I can buy a (hopefully) cheaper factory solution that retains proper fuel level sensing versus the aftermarket solutions that have been made over the years. Not looking forward to the work involved in dropping the tank though...

'A' baffle was mentioned, hmm, just 1 baffle added, to all models, hope that is enough, but still hugely needed upgrade to fix starvation at high Gs.

Has anyone seen this new startup sequence that Paul mentions? I know it is just on startup, but it reminds me of the current Mustang's ability to change the screen to an older model dash layout. I so would love to mirror my 1981 Turbo speedo setup on my 2024 Performance.
