I will touch on this later in more detail, but I think my point has been proven. 🙃
I'll have my popcorn🤪 I enjoy your and appreciate your informative comments by the way because I love learning about stuff I do not know anything about.

Okay, so here is my take:
If someone said brand A is the only way to go because,
Brand B has bad wealds and is known to break! or,
Brand C is a poor design and doesn't fit properly because the mounting tabs are wrong! or,
Brand D is a poor design because the hose inlet and outlet don't line up properly! or,
Brand E is sized poorly and you have to cut a bunch of stuff out of the way to fit it in! or,
Someone was running Brand XYZ, and their car was having timing pulled due to excessive heat issues so they were loosing 20+ WHP, and then they swapped to Brand A and the problem went away and they picked up all of the lost power potential!

Then, I would take this information into account to make my decision.

I will not however, Choose Nismo just because it has the name Nismo Etched into the side of it.
or
Choose AMS because AMS says that they have the best one when both of these options are literally TWO times more expensive for no measurable real world difference besides the name plate and advertising. Period. Were not talking about a ceramic ball bearing turbo with a CNC billet compressor wheel vs a standard bushing turbo. Were talking about a radiator for your intercoolers.
Any Heat Exchanger that does a decent job of increasing surface area and capacity of fluid thus keeping temps in check is going to do the job. It's just about keeping temps in check. As close to ambient temp as possible. This is providing that they are a quality piece with a good design as far as fitment is concerned. Now If there is one that is so much larger that it requires a little bit of manipulation to get it to fit right but you're gainig a significant increase in the metrics that actually matter, then that would be up to the purchaser to decide if it's worth it or not. If it requires any reinventing of the wheel and it DOES NOT give you an increase in cooling then it would fall into the above reasons to stay away in my book.

So, Here is a little bit of compiled info to help people out:

AMS- 198% core size and 200% fluid capacity @ almost $1000
Nismo- 148% Volume and 100% thicker core @ $1150
Mish- 172% Volume and +39% Front surface area @ $700
CZP- 200% core thickness, 150% Front surface area, 320% Fluid @ $550
Z1- 174% capacity and 39% thicker @ $500

All are aluminum
All are tig welded
All look good
All will probably do the job

If I had to choose based on stats alone, I would probably choose any one that you trust as a company that doesn't cost twice as much for a sticker.

I would probably jump on the preorder with Concept Z Performance personally however I really want to go Air to Air and don't want to double buy. The only problem is The Peoples Republic of Kalifornia.

To state that AMS is the way to go because AMS says they make the best stuff and AMS has a high production video showing you how amazing they are is silly to me.

THAT BEING SAID, I AM NOT HATING on AMS Performance. I know they make high quality goodies and have been known to make fast cars even faster. Thats great and I may include some of their goodies into my build in the future.

I AM ALSO NOT HATING ON PEOPLE that love AMS and have a lot of their products.

Just don't turn your nose up at those of us in the Z comunity that have a different opinion than you or because you spent more money and that is sure to make it better and therefore you are better because there are holes in that theory and we can see up your nose.

We are all here for the same reason give or take. We love the Z. We aren't enemies, we're on the same team. We hate german cars that are masquerading as Japanese greats. (Just kidding, Its a great car even if it would have been better for Toyota to glue 2 corolla 3 cyl together making a 600 HP 3.2 L Twin Turbo, and threw it into an improved Last gen Supra chassis. )

So, Cheers fellas :fistbump:

Here's a post I made a few months ago that should help:
AMS

$950

2x thick (32mm?)

198% core size vs. stock

200% fluid capacity

Z1

$450

22mm thick

147% front area vs. stock

174% coolant capacity

CZP

$500

2x thick (32mm?)

150% frontal area vs. stock

320% coolant capacity

Mishimoto

$700

32mm thick

172% core size vs. stock

139% frontal area vs. stock

I did this comparison a while back when I was picking my heat exchanger, but updated it with current pricing. I personally went for the Mishimoto due to sale pricing at the time and the fact it retained the OEM heat exchanger stone guard for highway protection (I also did their intercoolers). That aside, at today's pricing, I'd be hard pressed to pick anything other than CZP's at the moment based on their pricing and using the largest core across the competition. AMS makes a great product, legit R&D, proven, etc. but you are absolutely paying a premium for their name.

I've installed the AMS on mine, i've seen the Mishimoto and CZP first hand...

If I could go back, i'd for sure get the CZP. Welds were tight tight tight tight tight. And the core size was actually surprising. For something made in Indonesia, 100% Recommend

Mishimoto was questionable, the welds looked alright imho, nothing the be excited about, but i guess thats the qc you'd expect from China. Sure, designed and engineered in Delaware, but most of their products come from China

AMS, self explanatory, Welds were excellent (other then a pair of HFC a friend had ordered, it looked like a noob just getting into welding did them) Designed, Engineered & Made in Murica (f*** ya). ALTHOUGH not ALL parts are made in the states, so you'd have to check before hand.

TLDR. CZP best bang for buck

Thanks for report. CZP a strong contender. If it was available sooner I'd go with one.

Thanks for everyone's input.

I think you can easily search around and find the Nismo one for $900. Ive had it over a year now on my 24 Nismo Z and the install was easy and it looks good. I think all will do the job, pick the one color matched to your preference (black or gray) and budget. Cheers

Thank you. I do like the Nismo brand. Though I am set on the AMS or CZP. Appreciate feedback.
