Sub tier? I'll have to go let mine know... Even though its the only one on the market that retains the stock stone guard and fit perfectly.Well frig, looks like top quality sells.
Imho, I'd wait out and not rush into buying something sub tier
Capacity, quality, fitment, durability, demonstrated real-world performance, and manufacturer reputation were the primary factors in my decision-making process, particularly given my focus on repeated high-load pulls in hot-weather conditions where heat-soak mitigation becomes critically important. This is how we know that marketing and perception rules all. People arguing over which aluminum radiator is âhigh endâ vs those other âlooserâ brands. Be careful of your selection! I heard that if you get the right one you will make 8000 HP but if you choose the wrong one you will blow your engine.
For reference, there were people (years ago) using generic universal fit heat exchangers on Q60âs and Q50âs and were having just as much luck as the guys running the big brand. And of course the guys running the big brand would constantly turn up their nose but guess what? They werenât making any more power.
Point? Pick the one you like, and feel comfortable with, and have fun. At the end of the day itâs not going to matter and no one is going to care.
