I would imagine that might be quieter than what I have now. I think it’s a good option for someone with a non-resonated mid pipe but I have the resonators.
For anyone that is looking for there setup to have more volume but not drone. If someone is wanting a muffler delete but worried about it being too loud deleting everything.

I do appreciate it. I’m just hoping there is somebody here that has the resonated mid pipe and a muffler delete like this.

I have this exact setup. MT Z that I swapped to the AT mid-pipe and the EOS muffler delete axle back. Tone is amazing and not offensively loud. Even with aggressive driving, from outside it just sounds like a sporty car. Not obnoxious. It did introduce some mild drone between ~1,700-2,700 RPM, but I was able to almost entirely eliminate it by sound proofing the hatch area. Sounds like it should have from the factory now, IMO. I have a Manual transmission Performance Z and want more sound...too quiet. Are you saying that for a M/T Z, you can just change out the back non-muffler from a A/T Z and it will sound louder?
Is that what you did and any chance for a sound clip?
Yea it sounds better, not terribly louder in my opinion. I just completed the swap took about 40 minutes and so far I like the sound!

Hey, thanks a bunch for the info. I really don’t like the idea of introducing any drone but it’s an inexpensive and reversible mod to give a try. If I don’t like it, I’ll just swap it back.

can we get sound clips of exq red’s setup and your stock a/t? red dropped a massive muffler and added resonators which made a difference to his stock m/t.

Thanks...would you say how much louder was it from stock manual.... 20%? I wouldn't mind if it was alot louder as the stock manual is very quiet.

Also how do you know if it's the auto Trans muffler section? Is there a part number on the muffler itself?

I can get a high quality recording, but it will really only be a reference for tone. You won’t really be able to gauge the volume since there won’t be a “before” recording to compare it to. I could put it next to my Frontier and rev them both up for a frame of reference, maybe?

Also how do you know if it's the auto Trans muffler section? Is there a part number on the muffler itself?
They are very visually distinct, you can’t really mix them up.

See post #4 for a/t and m/t part numbers for the mufflers - aka axle back section. The m/t axle back has a muffler and the a/t does not.

here’s a sound clip

how does your setup compare to the sound clip in the link below and what happen to the a/t exhaust in your pics - looks like it got run over.

The AT muffler looks like this and as far as how much louder I think that’s up to individual person. In my opinion it was about 20-25% louder. The point is I like nice sounding exhaust not that loud droning stuff you see a lot of. There are a few posters on this thread that thought it was too loud with the muffler/axle-back switch only and also added the AT pipes with resonators. My mistake was not getting them along with the exhaust when I had the chance so I could see the difference for myself. The more I drive the more I know that’s what I should have done.
