Misha roasted the Nissan Z

Go on any modern sports car forum and it's not hard to find posts complaining about how the cars have so much tech in them and are overly complicated, too stiff, squeaking brakes, you name it. All the issues that crop up running race focused cars on the street .

I recall seeing a number of times through the years where people have suggested that a more simple 2000's era, analog retro feeling modern sports car would be awesome.

Then Nissan does it and gets s#it on left and right by people who judge it in ways that weren't high priorities design considerations.

Like the car? Buy one. Don't? Get something else.

Nailed it. Do you want a beautiful car that’s fun to drive and looks gorgeous? I do. We can all play Gran Turismo and boost the intervals. I know I have and that’s how I’ve created the livery my ‘27 Nismo MT is getting in the shop right now. Pic of pending scheme attached.

Or don’t. And just enjoy your beautiful ride. Or drive something else. I don’t care.

In either case, why not appreciate this wonderful community that is full of great, non-judgmental people?

You have obviously NEVER driven a "Z" or those "little 3 or 4 bangers" on a real road!!! Especially ANYTHING with corners !!!
The "Z" gets its arse utterly kicked!!

I’ve driven enough wheezy shitboxes to know that a wheezy shitbox that handles well is still a wheezy shitbox.

The Z is a completely different class of vehicle.

Dont disagree with this at all...

What i do disagree with is a previous poster who stated that cars like the GR Yaris, Civic Type R and such and "Slow" with little 3 or 4 bangers !!
This individual has no bloody idea !! ..

There are far far to many BullSh*t video,s on the net with the sum driving experience of a car based on driving around streets and how good the car is in a good "Pull" ( for Christ sake...a good "pull"! )

Thats exactly what i did........test drove both the STD Z and Nismo.........and by test drive i mean i had the car/s a full day to drive them in places i was familiar with ....not some little effort around the block.

The NEW Z , even the Nismo just wasn't for me....... so i purchased something else.

If i was choosing a car for LONG trips on "normal" roads with a little mix of twisties.....i would gladly take a Nismo Z.....it is an excellent car in this role.

I live in the High Country ( Mountains) of Victoria, with some of the best Undulating, Twisty , roads in Aus..... for this environment/use i purchased a car more suited and a hell of a lot more fun !

The Z here in Aus is pushed as a fully-fledged SPORTS CAR....... it just isnt !
In the role as a GT... it's excellent.

You are getting caught up in labels. It is a sports car by all rational accounts. Twin turbo V6, independent dual A arm suspension, 2 seater, manual trans option, etc

It's not a high level track day car as delivered.

As someone that's sent a Z Nismo and a GR Yaris in the beautiful Victorian Alpes, I can confidently say that I dunno if I would keep up with myself in a GR Yaris chasing down myself in a Z Nismo. Yes in super tight twisty sections yes the GR Yaris will murder the Z Nismo but it would murder a GR Supra or a M2 Comp and even a GT3RS.

I cannot stress enough how much front grip and change of direction the Z Nismo has, it's quite impressive for the weight it carries, but a M2 F87 that's a weapon of a car in the Alpes that I struggled to keep up have no doubts.
