Looks like a fun layout. I would love to do some autox but nothing close to me. I am less than an hour away from my local track so I just go there. Thing about track days it really damages the car, chipped windshield, chipped paint, worn pads, worn rotors, discolored calipers, high oil temps, so I'm reluctant to take my Z to the track.

My Z NISMO is here!!! This really feels like the culmination of working so hard for 20 years in the Nissan enthusiast community. Having this car sit right beside the #1 GTR NISMO is just something I'm so proud of. My favorite Nissan I ever owned was my 2007 350Z NISMO. I only had it for less than a year before I left for the GTR world but it's just as awesome feeling to have the Z NISMO back! I enjoyed my 2023 Z and am glad I had it for 7 months as I feel I will have a better appreciation for the NISMO and the differences. Looking forward to something track and autocross next season.

got a leaky seal in the strut. might have been like this for a while as look at all the pebbles piled up in the sludge pool. only noticed because I saw a little drop of grease on the inside of the wheel when cleaning them then Gemini told me to look up at the strut because it suspected I had a leak there or the CV boot. it was correct unfortunately

Understood.
There’s typically a good amount of oil in a shock, but that’s A LOT of oil that’s escaped.

When I saw your issue I had a thoughtā€¦ā€If he swapped forā€¦ā€

This: I’d love to hear a comparison from a NISMO driver with some quality time on the OEM springs/shocks vs the aftermarket NISMO.
Apologies to anyone here that’s done this and commented, as I don’t remember seeing it.

I have a gut feeling this happened a while ago as that sludge is fairly thick you can see where I rubbed it with my finger. must have ran all the way down the strut and pooled up there.

I guess if I didnt catch that greasy spot on the wheel it would have had to have gotten really bad before I would have noticed

Get the shocks replaced for new ones, then sell as 0 mile shocks and use the money for coilovers? That's what I'd do (or at least consider)
