Not sure how people who cannot read road-signs in a language they do not speak can get a license.
My wife is Gen X from China, when she was younger (teens) private car ownership seemed unlikely. So, there was no "car culture" for her. She still struggles with things like leaving high beams on and setting functions inside the car. Fortunately, her new car has most things "automatic". I taught her how to drive, and I focused a lot on road manners. Her English is perfect, so she does well.

Here is your problem: Female drivers and anyone under the age of 40.

People are stuck on their phones and willing to risk their lives for a Facebook post while driving.

There is literally no excuse for car accidents. It's all avoidable if you pay attention. I will purposely get behind a motorcycle because I know I won't kill them. I've ridden for years. Get on a bike and you will become one of the best drivers out there.

Here’s a recent local tragic example of why you can’t be too careful no matter what you’re driving or where you’re at. If a trucker plows through flashing red and blue lights, what isn’t a possible target?

ā€œā€¦.the driver of an industrial 18-wheeler owned by SWI industries of Friendswood plowed into her (a reserve constable) vehicle in a construction zone. It is alleged in the lawsuit the driver was completely inattentive when entering the construction zone, traveling at an excess rate of speed and failed to recognize that Avery’s vehicle was even there, in spite of the red and blue lights flashing on the carā€¦ā€

Yup night and day how others around me drive if I am in my truck or my Z.
That's a fact. If I drive my wife's dented up 1995 Chevy 3500 crew cab long bed with the cow catcher.... no one acts stupid around me. Bring out the Z or my motorcycle, it's now the Hunger Games on my daily commute.

LOL. Yep. My red Z is like waving a red flag to ā€œlet the games beginā€ to all the Mad Max road warriors on the insane streets of Houston.

Beware of jacked-up pickups. I’m freaking doomed, being in Texas.

This is why I back up in to the parking spot all the time. It gives me more situational awareness when exiting.

As for the second incident. I would had sped up and passed to make the other driver realize there was a car there

The world is full of idiots, especially ones that shouldn't hold a driver's license. The only thing we could do is have maximum situational awareness, read the road, and avoid poor drivers

The state of Victoria is full of them, just look up dashcam Australia on youtube and you'll see my point
Same here - much safer to back into a parking space than traffic - except at walmart. Lol

Hmmm, I didn’t have a great experience the other day watching some goofy lady trying to back in. I’d just gotten into to my car and was getting ready to back out, when she started backing a Caddy SUV a little smaller than an aircraft carrier into a space next to me. I was trapped, watching her move back-and-forth, trying to squeeze into the small space, with a foot or less between us. I kept nervously watching her, with my hand over the horn, if needed. The challenge of her trying to maneuver her living room on wheels was a bit much for backing into the space. The risk then was backing in without taking out an adjacent vehicle versus backing out leaving.

Fortunately, I was in my other car, not the Z. After 5-10 minutes of her fumbling around with her attempt at back ā€œa$$ā€ parking, she finally docked her vessel, without taking me out and I was able to escape undamaged. ;) The time she burned with her crazy parking, she could have parked a little further away in the large, wide open parking lot and gotten some free exercise. I make it a point to park the Z in a location as far from everyone as I can get.

Some people.

General rules of thumbs I follow dealing with traffic in a low car: Make yourself known and seen at all times. Give yourself plenty of room to maneuver. Don't be over confident. Obviously if you're stationary and have nowhere to go you're a sitting duck. But other than that you have control. I wish I could avoid rocks and pebbles though.
