Porsche 997.2 and 2007 Civic EX are the two best handling cars I’ve driven. Currently one a 2022 Mustang Mach 1, which is fine, but a little unsettling at higher speeds on bumpy back roads. Electric steering will never be the same as hydraulic.
You gave context here since you've had experiences with those sharp handling cars to compare with. I feel the same with my Cayman S (track) and prev E46 M3, you will 'expect' the new Z to handle the same at the +$50k price for a Performance, but it won't. You'll need to upgrade with suspension stuff like what others already suggested, more $$. If you have the means, then do it, the Z will really then be buttoned down. It has great suspension design (double wishbone) and geometry. I have test driven a few, pulls hard in straight line for sure.

Is the handling better, or worse, than the 370Z?

Front and rear sways plus lowering springs/coils really change the dynamic of the car, at least for me
Were the sway bars, coils & springs etc NSMO or aftermarket?

I dont think its bad at all I think its just more GT than what I expected. fine for around town and weekend driving ect. its just a bit floaty and there is body movement right at the turn in which isnt good on track/autoX ect. the NISMO fixes this but even the non NISMO can be greatly helped with sway bars and minimal suspension work

My initial impression with my stock Performance Z MT was a bit of a dissapointment but understandable. Since the suspensjon is a bit “soft & floaty”, you know you really can’t push the car too much in the street. It lagged behind my other cars (stock 86, FK8 and GR Yaris) handling wise. It definitely needed a proper setup. I changed to 18s, michelin PS4S, coilovers, braces and sway bars plus camber/toe alignment, and it definitely changed the character of the Z! In its current setup with an RSE catback exhaust, I can now probably say it’s one of the best proper “Sports Car” with a Manual coming from Japan ??

I personally felt the same about the Z being on the softer side.

I added a Nismo rear adjustable sway bar and A Z1 front adjustable sway bar and it completely changed the dynamics. Both are set at the softest setting and the change was dramatic. That and a set of Falken Azenis FK460 A/S tires. I daily my Z and I haven't decided on a dedicated set of summer wheels and tires yet but when I do the A052's will be in order.

How do you like the FK460s? What kind of conditions have you driven them in? Would you get them again?
