Good analysis there. Certainly those bushing upgrades ups the stiffness at initial transitions, overpowers more the rear OEMs (terrible to start with). Nice track with long straights sure helps with brake cooling but increases engine, diff temps at higher speeds. Rear RE71RS or RZ will I'm sure make it more neutral. Happy tracking!
It's almost a funny dynamic, the Subframe bushings give a higher degree of suspension precision, so you can use the same tire more effectively but the power transfer with no compliance also burns the rubber right beneath me lol. The straights made the Z really happy and with the OEM+ pads; was very confidence inspiring. On a side note, I can't wait for you to post even more track footage too!

What are the benefits of the z manny compared to the 9AT? Besides “iT’s MoRe EnGaging”
From my own personal experience, in 3rd-4th you can utilize a lot more mid end grunt, I had a Nismo with me on the same very track session and in 4th you'd be a bit too low in RPMs go to 3rd and you are hovering a bit above the ideal, though naturally the auto's 5th-6th is pure power band so it makes up for it on a circuit.

Most riders are in 2nd to 3rd gear through the twisties. I would imagine it'd be similar in a car run. Granted I've never been, but have watched videos & reviewed maps. AT switches back to auto mode without continuous input. MT would be easier, esp for a non-track driver.

Too many run these ‘canyon’ roads like we have them here in So CA Angeles Crest Hwy, Glendora Mtn Road, etc and run into accidents, reckless drivers, road conditions, way too many risks. Guys should at least once do an organized track day and find your limits, very safe, less risks if you progress thru the levels. Way more rewarding!! Just Do It like Nike says.

Mine doesn’t
Maybe "continuous input" wasn't an accurate way to describe. My AT in manual mode will switch to Auto after a given amount of time, haven't timed it but something like 10 seconds. If you're not experiencing that, perhaps your input are within the threshold. If yours never switches, would like to understand why.

When I put it into manual mode it never switches back. I have had several 2 plus hour drive on everything from surface roads t interstate and it never switches.

Are you switching it to manual mode via the center console gear shift or are you using the paddle shifter? If you are using the paddle shifter, that is your problem.

thanks for the tip, I believe I do just use the paddle shifter and it switches from auto to manual. I'll trying switching via center console first. So from D, just switch to M then use paddle shifters as needed?

Correct.

And by the way, if you switch while you trans is cold the shifts will be slow. Don't stress about it, once the trans comes up to temp is will be fast again.

I usually switch to manual as I am pulling out of my garage. I drive the cars easy till i get both the engine and trans oil up to temp.
