NISSAN knows very well what they are doing... that is why they've been able to not only sell the Z since the 70's, but keep the dream alive. Obviously it's been designated for a smaller consumer base; that's obvious. Nissan tried the back seats and not many were sold.
Nissan understands the "average consumers' point". That's why they produce enough cars for the "average consumer"...
Wrong again. I have couple 93 94 95 zx. The one that sell the fastest and demand the best money is 2+2 coupe zx!

You argue just to argue... don't ya? here you go; "you're welcome":

"
Nissan's
two-seater sports cars have historically sold more units than their 2+2 counterparts when offered in the same model lines. The current Nissan sports car lineup consists exclusively of two-seaters.

Historical Sales

Across different generations of the Nissan Z-car (previously Datsun), the purer two-seater models have generally been more popular with buyers.

  • Datsun 240Z/260Z era: The original two-seater Datsun models were significantly more popular, with more than 40,000 two-seaters sold in a single year they were both offered, compared to only 9,500 people opting for the 260Z 2+2 version.
  • 300ZX era (Z32): Both two-seater (2+0) and 2+2 versions were available, with the two-seater often viewed as having a sportier look by enthusiasts, while the 2+2 offered more practicality.
  • Modern Era: The later Z cars (350Z, 370Z, and the current Nissan Z) have primarily been offered as two-seaters in the US market. A 2+2 variant of the 350Z did exist, but it was rebadied and sold as the Infiniti G35 coupe, a different luxury brand targeting a different demographic."

The ONLY reason 2+2 models demand a little more $ is ONLY for diehard enthusiasts, because produced in smaller numbers. This is the trend seen in our local Z clubs, the older gens grabbing these ‘rare’ birds.

But the GR is 80% German, B58 and all.

Aside from that, having owned both sides of the ocean, Japanese engineering is still top notch not to mention heritage (240Z, GTR, BRE, etc). Mechanical design, serviceability, reliability still belong to the JDM. I can't believe some of the silly things I have to do to service my P car (remove a bunch of ancillary things to service some wear items). Many of my Porsche club guys only go to shows and Cars and Coffees, too afraid to track, a shame. I try to push them, no luck!
My wife's Q5 is currently down with a bad A/C evaporator. Part cost to replace is $400 or so. Heh. LABOR REQUIRED: 15 hours (private shop I know and trust, not dealership). Total bill to fix is going to be about $4,000.

The 2+2 was the least desirable, still is. You've probably collected all the NA 2+2 Automatics too :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

whatever makes you happy bud😂

Good news for the resale value on all of our cars.

If you’ve been contemplating a purchase. Do it now!
Yep, just like the S2000, the last few years they couldn't sell any. Now the resale value is insane. I went through 2 AP2 and followed the initial release.

100%. Spot on about the S2000’s. Sports cars that historically didn’t sell all that well or don’t have big production numbers typically end up being highly sought after.

This car is very analog compared to most cars on the market today. Mark my words the current generation of Z’s will be future collectibles, especially low mileage examples.

The S2000 values are good if they're original, and unmodified. If they're modified, they're not worth squat. The reason why the values are good is because 90% of them have been riced out and unmolested examples are practically nonexistent.

Well, I just purchased a new from dealer, 2024 Z Nismo with 34km on it, just over a week ago, for a very nice discount and I'm pleased to have been fortunate enough to have scooped up one of last of
1000028116.webp
these. An almost $20k savings makes me very happy.

Congratulations on your purchase. The same situation I had and same model variation. 🙏
