I've driven the car like I stole it ... daily. I have never reset the Drive Computer. I use 91 octane from Circle K, mostly. 91 is the highest I have found around here. This is what the dash shows a few minutes ago. I drive 1 mile to the highway to work, 30 miles daily ... 28 on Hwy and rarely at speed limit. :flag:

And yes, it is still 96F at 10PM Local time ... desert SW
That is absolutely brutal weather! Where exactly DO you live? And in regards to Circle K 91 octane, I would verify where they get their gas. I try to only use Shell V Power or Chevron Techron in my IS. The additives in those brands really help, but of course they do cost more. To me, the cost savings is worth it to protect my engine.

I'm blessed to have an engine that has both port and direct injection so I don't have to worry about carbon buildup. The Z, being direct injection only, probably needs high-quality gasoline if you can find it.

Las Cruces, NM, about an hour north of El Paso, Tx.
Nowhere near here has 93, I'd have to drive one way for an hour to the nearest station.

Do you have any E85 stations/pumps? 2 gallons per tank makes that 91 become 93!

Most stations took them out because most people around here wouldn't use. They'd rather buy an EV. Same thing though, a bit of a drive to find one.

All I mess with is Shell 93 V power with a hint of extra e85(e15 93)

This was what my Z Nismo with I/E and a Stillen Tru Control needed for a 165 mile trip in order to be back to a full tank. But a good chunk of this was me having way too much fun. I then decided to try this same drive again but with keeping my speeds within 5 to 10 mph of the speed limit and only one or two WOT and instead I only needed 5.2 gallons at the same gas station next to me.

I thought I’d give Shell Nitro 93 a try in my Z. Maybe it’s just my imagination, but after two fill-ups with it, there seems to be a noticeable difference over others I’ve tried. My Z seems to run smoother and nice overall performance. No complaints with it. I think I’ll just stick with it.

I got an idle that bounces between 800-700, and sounds like it needs an idle air control valve like back when that was an issue with cars, after filling up with some "93" at the track. The fuel starvation issue on these cars makes tracking them annoying, so glad 27' is fixing this.

Same experience for me. Once I started using the Shell 93, I noticed the difference.

Shell 93 is the real deal; I use it almost exclusively.

I track my milage with an app called Fuelio. I recommend it for anyone who wants scratch that analytics itch.

This is my lifetime stats with a 2024 Z Nismo, (about 14 months of ownership at time of photo) and only modification being a Nismo intake kit about 6 months ago.

These stats are based on avg. mpg per tank. Outside of those averages, I hit into the high 20's, low 30's on the highway while cruising 65-70mph. Closer to high 10's low 20's in city.

That is using shell, Chevron, and ExxonMobil, all 92 octane (no 93 anywhere near me) **i know the app says 93**. Average altitude about 200-500ft above sea level. Relatively flat area of the Willamette Valley in Oregon, USA.

I do drive a wide spectrum of intensity, depending on my mood, which does play a factor in the equation.

But if I can clock over 25mpg avg on nearly 350 miles a tank, I think can confidently say I was hitting good high 20's-low 30's, with my mix of city and highway driving.

I live in WA State, we don't get better than 91. On a road trip to Yellowstone right now, and the gas stations on the way have E0 93 for a dollar less than I pay for 87 in WA.
WTAF!
E0 of any grade is nigh impossible to find in WA.

E0 is not something to desire, especially on a turbocharged application. Ethanol is an excellent knock-quench due to higher octane and heat dissipation properties.

I need E0 for my boat and yard equipment.
You want it...you don't need it. Just being honest with ya... I always ran E30 in mine (snowblowers, lawn tractors, etc.). Ethanol is actually good in marine environments too since its hygroscopic and adsorbs any moisture that may get into your tank (same principal as adding a bottle of HEET).

Ethanol wreaks havoc on aluminum fuel tanks and carburetor parts. My Mirage is fuel injected, but I had to replace the aluminum fuel tank a few years ago. $7k.
It was rotted from the inside out with the same corrosion I see when I tear down a failed carburetor.
