I want to know what the super-secret NISMO Concept is. In the teaser pic the taillights look like an Aura, but there’s some serious aero going on next to them. Maybe they’re transitioning to the Aura for GT300. Curious about that one, although I’ve never been a ‘hot hatch’ fan.

Pretty sure it's a Aura Note RS that is gonna be widebody like a GR Yaris. It's a concept so can be be more radical than if it was a road car coming out soon

What makes you think that? I find it hard to believe they would change the whole transmission for 20 extra ft-lbs of torque.
I reading this forum that the transmission had some changes done for the extra HP. The transmission nm y 2024 Performance has given me trouble from when I first git it. very notch and after driving for a while , when it is warmed yp, very difficult to get into Reverse, I have been working with the Deaker and N ISSAN USA to get it fixed. Clutch upgraded to NISMO Clutch and Transmission replaced. last change was using the GTR Clutch fluid. I have been driving NISSAN Sports cars since 1983 and this is the first one to not be smooth. I had a twin turbo 370Z and the transmission was and still is smooth. I spoke to the dealer about the NISMO manual and they said it was tweaked.
You can believe what you want.

The recess is already there the hamburger Nissan just covers more of it up so my guess is they reused the bumper at least on the NISMO. Will have to see if the standard Z facelift changes the recess my guess it doesn't
I hope it doesn't have it recessed. I like the new Z front emblem and hoping the badge will fit the earlier models 🤞🏽

Counting the months to see one in person

Bleed the clutch fluid yourself (not at the dealer) using your DOT4 of choice and drain your transmission fluid refilling with Redline MT-85. Thank me later. Dealership diagnostics are like choose your own adventure books at best.

I have had the same mechanic at modeler for 16 years. I had Z1 supplied and installed twin Turbo 2009 370Z with 512 RWHP. In 2024 I sold it to him for $1. I trusthom completely. Transmission fluid wvsreplaced. The GTR Clutch fluid seems to be helping. When the Church fluid was put in, the old fluid looked like it had been quite warm(hot?). I have no idea why..

If you mean on a 370Z, unless the CSC delete kit was installed, the clutch slave is inside the transmission. It cooks the brake fluid caramel brown.

Thanks be to the Z Car Gods that Nissan has reverted to an external clutch slave & fork on the RZ34s like they used on the S30s.
Way more dependable and has better ‘feedback’ through the pedal.

The GTR clutch fluid was put into a Nissan Z performance. It was the Z that coked the fluid. The transmission has run hot since the beginning and the clutch has been big pain getting the car into Reverse when hot. With GTR fluid, I can get it into Reverse butis not even close to smooth. My MGA 1500 was smoother. In fact every other manual car I have driven since 1963 has been smoother. It is notching in first and sometimes in other gears. I cannot shift like I did the 376RWHP 300 ZXTT or the 512RWHP Twin Turbo 370Z. It's turning me into an old man. I'm 80 but it's making me feel 80.

GTR clutch fluid? that literally doesn't matter, any dot 4 fluid that is bled properly will work exactly the same, dot 4 boiling point is over 400 degrees, the trans doesn't even get close to that. If that made a difference the original fluid probably wasn't bled.

It sounds like maybe something up with the shift linkage? You know you have to push DOWN on the gear lever to select reverse right? And that reverse doesn't have any synchro's so you can only select it when stopped and sometime need to clutch out then back in if the cogs aren't lined up right. It also needs a second or two to spin down before you can select it because of the no synchros.

Also you say you replaced the transmission fluid, did you use a fluid with the proper friction for the synchro's? I made that mistake once a long time ago in a different car and it shifted like crap until I switched from regular gear oil to redline MT. I would honestly just use the stock Nissan fluid as most people aren't having your issues.

Sorry you have weird issues, my trans has been great.

Gear shifting is ok on mine once it warms up. It’s freezing cold over here and I noticed after about 10min of drive, Shifts are smooth including 2nd and reverse. Its running on stock fluids.
