There’s an online dealer that has 84 month 120,000 mile Gold warranties for $3700.

I haven’t had any luck with extended warranties. Also don’t know of a single soul that has used one that was worth more than they paid for the coverage.

What’s the highest mileage Nissan Z these days?

I haven’t done it on 30 new cars, but reading Infiniti forums has me debating it. I’m going to make sure this is a keeper and probably will do it just because of the engine and electronics.

I will only get the Nissan warranty, and from what I’ve read so far the silver and maybe even the regular base powertrain extended warranty cover the turbos and most of the engine. Golf is only a little more so I’ll likely get that, but I don’t think it’s required for what most of us want. Still not sure on that yet.

I'm going to see how it goes with the regular 3 year to 5 year warranty. If I have issues during this period I'll look into getting an extended warranty from Nissan before the coverage runs out.

On behalf of all Nissan owners, I'd like to thank you for purchasing a Nissan Extended Warranty. It's a HUGE money-maker for Nissan (margin-wise) and every factory extended warranty purchase adds to Nissan's net revenue in these financially challenging times. In the unlikely event that you would ever need such a warranty, and assuming that Nissan doesn't arbitrarily deny your extended warranty claim, it might help you as well (y).

I managed to get a lifetime limited powertrain warranty with mine ? just can’t sell it or total it. Service at accredited shop and power train inspection every 7 years are the only terms. Cost $2500 “pro pack” $100 deductible per claim

Has anyone purchased an extended warranty from Nissan?

I don't plan on modding my Z and would like to look into an extended warranty. The dealer I bought from quoted me something from Allstate, surely there is an extended warranty from Nissan, right ?
I tried to get an extended warranty from the Nissan dealer & they wanted $1,700.00 so I passed.

I'm going to go ahead and guess any sort of aftermarket heat exchanger, larger turbos, and/or tune would be an almost instant denial for any sort of engine warranty claim, right?

Modding your car has no impact on warranty except if it can be proven the mod caused or contributed to the breakdown.
It is also illegal in the US for any company to void the warranty if modifications were made to the product. They can deny warranty service but they cannot void the warranty. Keep that in mind.

I want to add my experience with the extended wheel & tire warranty. Not worth it. I curbed my rims and Nissan sent me to a 3rd party to have them repaired. They claimed to use the OE paint color code but now my front rims are a lighter shade than the rear. A warranty is supposed to bring your car back to how it was before the failure or accidental damage as per the terms but that is not the case with NIssan at least. When I was finalizing the purchase of my Z, the financial person told me if I need new tires just run over some screws and come in to have them replaced for free. That sounds like 100% bs. I'm sure not all dealers are like this, but NY is not a "kind" state. NY is all about "F U PAY ME". Ok I'm done.

Hi all! New to this forum here, looking to purchase a 2024 Nissan Z Performance new from a dealer. The purchase comes with a limited lifetime powertrain warranty on top of the existing Nissan factory 3 years/36,000 miles New Vehicle Warranty. They also offer extended warranty for 7 years/100k miles for $4,600 or 10 years/100k miles for $4,700, but the price seems quite steep.

I've read through the threads and it seems like having the basic 3 years plus the powertrain warranty should be sufficient. Do you all think it's worth the extra cost to get the extended warranty? Thanks!

Change the oil often, don't beat up the engine and transmission, and I don't believe you will need extended warranty. That's my opinion.

Those prices are outrageous. If you want a warranty, pay cash and buy directly from Nissan for half the price you are getting quoted there.

Thanks for the fast response yall!

Yeah if anything were to hurt my wallet, it's gonna be the engine. From all I saw across the forum the VR30DDTT is supposed to be quite bullet-proof but I've never owned a turbocharged car. The lifetime powertrain warranty definitely takes care of my biggest concern.

My thoughts exactly, the price I got is almost $1k more than the highest price I've seen on this forum for the same extended warranty. Not going to take the warranty from them.
