One more question on the install. Both the AWE track exhaust and the boosted six lower down pipes came with a reducing adapter. Looks to me as if the inner diameter of this adapter is 2 1/2 inches. Whereas the inner diameter of the exhaust and the lower downpipe is 3 inches. Is this adapter necessary for this situation?

I could see it’d be necessary if you were attaching the exhaust to an OEM lower downpipe orto OEM exhaust.

I’m in correspondence with AWE currently and they’re telling me to use this adapter.
Now to me it looks as if this would create restriction.

Please see the photos below.

That adapter is for mating aftermarket to stock piping. Do not use it.

Fellas, a lil help here. Finally bout to install the B6A LDPs and AWE track. Demoed everything out so far. The UDP flanges have 1 threaded stud left in them. Are those to be reused or do I need to remove this and use all new hardware? It’s odd to me why they have threaded studs in there.
Congrats on removing the lowers. Any issues removing the oem nuts from the studs? Did you use standard ratchet / deep well sockets?

any luck i will install mine this weekend..

That’s what I thought. Awaiting clarification from AWE, I’ll post their reply. But I’m with you, not for a 3” LDP to 3” exhaust setup.

No issues. Each UDP has 1 stud facing down for alignment. Bolt comes off, stud is reused.
Driver side has 1 bolt needing removal from the top. 24” extensions and swivel.
Passenger side has 2 bolts needing removal from top.
Same tools. Have a deep and shallow socket.
And a breaker bar helped immensely up top and below.

How is this thread still a thing? How? Everything has been answered on here since 2023.

Word. Thx @kevinbonds. Went ahead and did that.
Now, I notice the B6A hardware is smaller than OEM. My guess is that helps with adjustment and fitment?
The studs are M10x1.25 on one end and M10x1.5 on the other end. The thread size in the uppers/lowers is M10x1.5 and the locking nuts for the studs are M10x1.25. My lowers (spool) came with M10x1.5 bolts and nuts. if I wanted to remove the studs, I can use the included M10x1.5 bolts in place of the studs - installed in reverse without using a nut.

I plan to reuse the studs w/ new standard flange nuts instead of the PITA oem locking nuts.

i purchased new oem locking nuts and studs for backup.

You wont have a leak, send it, no adapter needing, stop overthinking it.
100% correct.

OP - Use whichever gasket you prefer, the one provided by B6A or the thicker one provided by AWE. I'm personally using B6A's with the metal crush fire ring.
