To what?

The dealership doesn't void any warranty. The warranty provider reserves the right to.
Especially aftermarket warranty.
Agreed because they sell aftermarket, could care less about factory warranties.

All I can find about that is "Nissan Security+Plus".

OP should check who is the warranty provider, it's usually Endurance
"Nissan Security+Plus is administered by Nissan Extended Services North America GP ("NESNA")....Franklin, TN 615-725-1000" which is under the Nissan umbrella, i.e. factory extended services. Nissan has many other coverages, finance, etc. The Extended Services (Security+Plus) is one of them. You can go to any Nissan dealer to claim warranty work.

I was going to ask OP if he happened to have this coverage, but the Nissan coverage is just extended, the "lifetime" stuff is a scam, and although some people think it's "free", ain't no such thing, the cost was buried somewhere in the vehicle purchase

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is a 1975 federal law that protects you from deceptive warranty practices and prevents automakers from unfairly voiding your warranty. It is frequently used as a federal "lemon law" to hold manufacturers accountable for persistent vehicle defects. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Key Ways It Protects Car Owners
  • Aftermarket & Custom Parts: Using aftermarket or recycled parts—or having an independent mechanic do your routine maintenance—does not automatically void your factory warranty. [1]
  • The Burden of Proof: To deny warranty coverage, the manufacturer must prove that the aftermarket part or independent repair directly caused the specific defect or failure. [1, 2]
  • Remedies for Unresolved Issues: If a manufacturer or dealership cannot fix a substantial defect under warranty after a reasonable number of attempts, the Act allows you to sue in court to get a replacement vehicle, a refund, or compensation for your losses. [1, 2, 3, 4]

The company I am dealing with is New Global Administrators and apparently they believe that cold air intakes cause major engine failures on a regular basis. Atleast that is what the lady that I spoke to told me. She also said she has been in the business for over 14 years and never heard of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. I told her I understood why since it was enacted so recently, it had only been in affect since 1975. She didn't think it was funny.

MM has no bearing on aftermarket 3rd party warranties.

Regardless, your car looks awesome!

According to the lawyer I spoke to it does. They just a little less of a burden of proof because of the "contract" but they cannot just completely blanket statement void it. They will refuse to pay then you would have to hire a lawyer to fight it in a legal battle.

Good luck. Everything is grayzone to a lawyer.
Saying that gets him paid... o_O

Possibly. I don't have anything to fight yet. I would say screw it if my wife wouldn't get pissed about it. I told her they will do everything in their power to deny the claim no matter what even if i don't do my small upgrades
