"Nissan Security+Plus is administered by Nissan Extended Services North America GP ("NESNA")....Franklin, TN 615-725-1000" which is under the Nissan umbrella, i.e. factory extended services. Nissan has many other coverages, finance, etc. The Extended Services (Security+Plus) is one of them. You can go to any Nissan dealer to claim warranty work. All I can find about that is "Nissan Security+Plus".
OP should check who is the warranty provider, it's usually Endurance
I was going to ask OP if he happened to have this coverage, but the Nissan coverage is just extended, the "lifetime" stuff is a scam, and although some people think it's "free", ain't no such thing, the cost was buried somewhere in the vehicle purchase"Nissan Security+Plus is administered by Nissan Extended Services North America GP ("NESNA")....Franklin, TN 615-725-1000" which is under the Nissan umbrella, i.e. factory extended services. MM has no bearing on aftermarket 3rd party warranties. The company I am dealing with is New Global Administrators and apparently they believe that cold air intakes cause major engine failures on a regular basis. Atleast that is what the lady that I spoke to told me. She also said she has been in the business for over 14 years and never heard of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. I told her I understood why since it was enacted so recently, it had only been in affect since 1975. She didn't think it was funny.
According to the lawyer I spoke to it does. They just a little less of a burden of proof because of the "contract" but they cannot just completely blanket statement void it. They will refuse to pay then you would have to hire a lawyer to fight it in a legal battle.MM has no bearing on aftermarket 3rd party warranties.
Regardless, your car looks awesome!
Good luck. Everything is grayzone to a lawyer.According to the lawyer I spoke to it does. Possibly. I don't have anything to fight yet. I would say screw it if my wife wouldn't get pissed about it. I told her they will do everything in their power to deny the claim no matter what even if i don't do my small upgradesGood luck. Everything is grayzone to a lawyer.
Saying that gets him paid...![]()
Aftermarket warranties have hundreds of loopholes in the terms. When you accept the warranty, you accept the terms in the fine print.According to the lawyer I spoke to it does. If i move forward it will be NISMO installed at the dealership. I don't go cheap unless the results don't really matter to me. I have learned 90% of the time you will get back what you put in.Aftermarket warranties have hundreds of loopholes in the terms. When you accept the warranty, you accept the terms in the fine print.
Also, CAI can damage your engine. Many people just want to tinker with their cars, and they have a cheap mentality so they buy garbage CAI because it's cheap and the filters let too much particles past, it'll definitely tear up an engine. Pick a good CAI and keep it maintained and you'll be fine in regards to engine life. However, there's probably something in the warranty terms about modified intakes, and that would be an automatic denial of coverage. Just don't ever let them know you have them, always put the stock intakes back on.
