its a forum where you discuss things, if you don't have anything to contribute than shut up.Is this a joke post? I can't believe this is being discussed.
Not so fast..... I had a windshield replaced as a warranty claim a long time ago on my 1991 Nissan Sentra. The OP never said how or where it was broken. If it's a rock, it's obviously an insurance claim. But on my car, a crack appeared out of nowhere one day (nothing that I know of hit it), it was at the bottom by the wipers. The crack stemmed from the edge of the glass inwards, and there was zero evidence of any impact damage. They originally didn't want to cover it, but after I showed them that it was obvious that it was probably some pressure point on the mounting surface from the factory, they agreed to cover it. So the OP's question isn't as ridiculous as you think. Is this a joke post? I can't believe this is being discussed.

C5 Corvette Z06's had thinner glass to reduce weight too.Honda advertised thinner glass & thinner paint as weight savings features of the S2000.
And what is that saving about 2 lbs?C5 Corvette Z06's had thinner glass to reduce weight too.
Yeah probably something like that. And what is that saving about 2 lbs?
Weight savings is one thing, but the windshield is higher than the center of gravity... so weight reduction there does compounded effects on stability and traction because the car's not weighted as high. And what is that saving about 2 lbs?
ive probably had that same type of rock issue at lease 3 times. with 2 vehicles under 2 different insurance companies and every time they paid the $40-60 directly to the repair shop with no cost to me.Thanks for the help guys. Looks like I'll just wait until the crack becomes an actual issue. It's def a rock chip or something like that. I didn't think it would be covered underwarranty after reading my warranty paperwork. I just wanted to double check. Thanks
