The Victorian roads (hume highway going into Melbourne) strike again! This time with 3x back to back hidden pot holes in about 4 seconds. At first it felt like my steering got messed up, so I drove back home slowly. Next day, went to inspect the damage to the suspension, and behold, I found my underbody covered in blue residue. My initial thought, f*** me! So the initial inspection of just checking the suspension, went on a side quest of looking for the leak

The suspension was good! I however suspect the steering column may need further inspection. I also found the leak...

So my question is, does anyone know what this hose is?

I figure I can do the repair myself, as I am going to be installing the AMS Intercooler upgrade soon

Thanks a bunch!

The hose in question is a coolant hose that runs from the back of the engine through the passenger side throttle body to the driver side throttle body and into the driver side turbo. Its to keep the throttle bodies at a constant temperature. Older cars had this, I would always bypass this feature. I bought a hose to bypass this on my Z but haven't had a reason to pull the intake manifold off yet.

Thanks! The specific hose I was looking for is the one that connects from the engine to the throttle body. I'm hoping I don't have to take off the the intake manifold, looks like I'll definitely have to rebleed the coolant though 🙃

Strange, any idea how hitting potholes caused the leak? Z bottomed out hard?! Hose or seal issue?

Let's just say, it was a violent ride when I hit those potholes.

It's a hose issue, some how it cracked up or punctured, don't know

I called nissan to see if they can take a look at it, could be covered under warranty
