I did some research on this when I bought my car earlier this year and it seems like the Nismo front caliper and pad shape is unique and only used by the RZ34 Nismo, nothing else. I even looked through EBCs entire catalog by pad shape to see if I can find any other application that uses the same shape pads, nothing.... Not even Endless in Japan offers anything yet. For now its OEM only, they are great pads but do wear very quickly. Im at 8K street miles and already %50 worn.
What level is the brake fluid at currently, when your pads are 1/2 worn? my fluid is down at the seam of the fluid reservoir after only 2 track days. I don't know how worn the pads are because I have to take the wheels off to be able to check. I will do it before the next track day, but I'm curious what your car is showing.

I managed to make it home safely thankfully. Wound up buying a pair of the front pads that fit the 14" akebono's and they were ever so slightly off with the width so the shop used a dremel so they could fit. I sure didn't do any track driving with those but it got me home thankfully.

So after inspecting my pads that i brought back home with me it seems like something has gone terribly wrong with my front left brake which is at the top versus front right at the bottom... Is this what delamination looks like?

Thats normal wear on a clockwise track. I rotate my pads from left to right before every track day as my track has 9 right turns to 3 left turns.

Mine is slightly above the seam. I did however bleed the brakes at about 2k miles as I usually do this to every car I buy, so I did top off the fluid then. The act of driving will work any micro air bubbles in the system into a bigger bubble. I found some small air bubbles in both my front calipers, nothing in the rear.

Some of the good times at VIR 🙏 All things considered I had some great times and learned a whole lot at my first time ever being to a race track yet alone driving on one

Very cool. You will have to come back up in July when the GT4 Z teams race. There is a big Nissan owners meet to support them .

Looking good!
Considering it's your first time on the track, you did an amazing job. Congrats!

VIR is special. Glad you got to experience it. Hope you catch the bug. I had planned on going to that event but work prevented. Several friends were there, I usually hit VIR 4 or so times a year.

Hopefully aftermarket will come up with some better track brakes for the Nismo. I run very hard, very aggressive race compounds that last 15-20 track days.

https://www.knsbrakes.com/products/car/143709_2024+Nissan+Z+Performance+-+NISMO+Spec+with+15"+Front+Rotors/_All+Products KNS brakes added an option for our vehicle on their website now and it looks like we mighthave some better options now at least for the rears. I'm going to send my backing plates in to hopefully get some carbotechs molded for the fronts as well
