What is everyone paying for auto insurance? i was quoted $3K / yr. for coverage on a ‘24 performance Z.

old man-ish, clean-ish driving record. excellent credit. so i had other cars quoted, ’24 acura integra type S ($2,700 /yr) & $75K Acura mdx type S ($1,700 / yr..).

co-worker was paying $1,700 for an ‘23 IS500 and just got an increase - now he’s paying ~$2,700.

I am paying $1,650 a year through State Farm with a clean driving record and multiple lines. AZ insurance rates spiked about two years ago and I am paying about $1,300 for a 2007 Frontier with the same coverage and my wife's 2023 Explorer is $1,200. We have discussed shopping around as I feel we can do better overall with our claims history.

if paid off you can drop Collision. You will be surprised how little that saves you and then how much it opens you up for heart ache.
I could see dropping collision on a 200's f150 that is worth 5-8k. But not a new nice sports car.

Presume you have insurance- call your agent and ask? too many variables to guess.

Not really - just an increase for “everyone” deal. he dropped them and switched to farmers but only saved ~$200 / yr. i did fine out that the price included his 2016 tacoma.

Time to necro this thread. Curious what things look like now in the insurance arena.

With Allstate since I was 19, and last April when I got my Z, Allstate wanted to more than double my premium ($1,308/yr on an '05 350Z to $2,928/yr on a '24 Z. Wasn't willing to reduce coverage, and it wouldn't have been a significant reduction in premium anyway, so I reached out to Progressive. Got the same coverage minus rental car (used it once in 30 years) for $1,488/yr.
