Any Dyno information after a cat back exhaust?

Before I spend over a grand on exhaust, does anyone have any REAL dyno numbers to justify spending $1100+ on a cat back system?

If I'm only getting 6 whp this mod can go suck a fuck (Donnie Darko).

Looking for dyno numbers, exhaust brands, the dyno used etc.

Tired of the bullshit guess work.

I'm Ron Burgundy???

There's a guy on Youtube with a grey Nismo who dyno his car before and after with Nismo intakes and Stillen Comp exhaust

Before was 382whp/390wtq
After was 407whp/417wtq

The only issue is it was done days apart. So that may not be good enough for you.

Exactly however in the video on YT he seems to do the dyno after purchasing the Nismo intake and Stillen Competition and different days might be part of the reason the numbers are higher than usual.


I just realized he has on the same clothes in the video so he may have added the mods right after the initial dyno or maybe that's how he dresses daily.

Here’s SOHO’s first Z w/ 125 miles on the clock about ~3yrs ago..


First video is bone stock vs exhaust (2.5“ Y feeding a 3” single) w/ stock tune. Second video is exhaust vs exhaust + ams 3” catless lowers + ams HX both w/ stock tune vs same mods with ecutek tune vs E30. Third video is 1/4 times…

pulls were in January on different days and graphs are in STD (aka uncorrected), I’m assuming ambient temps were winter cold helping the stock number.

bone stock - 389
w/ exhaust - 403
w/ lowers & ams HX - 392 (improved boost down in the low rpms - assumed the ecu didn’t have a chance to learn for the lowers)
w/ tune - 432 on 93 pump
w/ E30 - 459
1/4 - 11.9 @ 118 (clutch was gone after 11 run & burn outs)
