This sounds more like AI just regurgitating what's been stated online (forums, social media, Reddit, etc.) than actual real-world facts/experiences.
Yes, that’s pretty much what it is, especially at this point for the '27. However, I'd be stunned to see anything close to the previous deal u could get earlier, especially for the bandit dealers around my area. They'll be playing the limited supply angle to the hilt. At least, it's not a high demand pickup or SUV. 😉 I got to know the manager pretty well at the DFW dealership where I got my Z and he was complaining the majority of potential buyers were interested only in pickups, SUV’s, or econo boxes.

I'd rather just cop a '23-'26, swap the front bumper and call it a day vs deal with the BS of buying a '27+
Absolutely. The green is gorgeous but it’s not enough “cookies in the jar” to make me want to deal with the usual crap from most dealers, especially for the current Z situation.

For what it's worth, here is what one AI inquiry was coming up with. Pretty much as expected.

"Ordering a 2027 Nissan Z is quite difficult. Nissan shifted to a strict build-to-order system, limiting most dealerships to just two or three units for the whole year. With this scarce supply, dealerships are expected to add heavy market adjustments .

1. Difficulty of Ordering
  • Strict Allocation: Nissan cut back production significantly to avoid the oversupply issues seen in past years.
  • Manual NISMOs: The track-focused NISMO model with a manual transmission is the hardest to get. Less than 10% of total production gets this gearbox, and most of these are already claimed .
  • Standard Trims: You can still order Sport and Performance models, but you must work directly with a dealer to build it and secure an allocation.

2. Dealer Markups
  • High Demand, Low Supply: Because dealers have so few cars, they do not have to worry about inventory sitting on the lot.
  • Markup Amounts: Expect dealer markups of $10,000 to $15,000 over the suggested retail price .
  • Negotiation: Some dealers may sell at the sticker price, but you will likely have to call several to find one willing to waive the extra fees."

I don't see much hope for getting anything close to the nice discount deal I got for a brand new Z in 2025. It's a good thing I'm enjoy it so much.
In this economy, they won't have as much room to inflate prices, unless they want to collapse Z sales, which they may foolishly do nonetheless....

I really believe many dealerships will still order Zs. Here in the Seattle area, most new Zs sell reasonably quickly, I don't think dealerships here ever regret having a couple Zs in stock.
In the US, it's always been the dealerships either accepting allocations, or the dealership requesting certain cars. Saying that the Z is on order only doesn't mean that only a customer can order, the dealership can request Zs too.

Nissan is trying to make a comeback, the Z brings in people who are otherwise not interested in Nissans. Be honest, few of us go to a Nissan dealership to check out a Rogue or Kicks. I've only ever stepped in to Nissan dealerships for 3 reasons:
Nissan Titan
Nissan GTR
Nissan Z

So they'd be wise to keep enthusiasts interested.

Or maybe the wheels come off.....

We'll see, I'm not anticipating a problem for getting a Z in 2027. At least I expect my dealership to keep some around, it's been good for them, especially since the GTR is out.
I expect the upcoming Xterra to be the next vehicle to bring new eyes into the dealerships...

From what i understand , here in Aus the new MT Nismo is a no go but other STD models will be available.

Judging from how many used Z.s are currently on "Carsales" here in Aus ( there are pages and pages of used Z,s at present !!!) .. A hell of a LOT of owners intend to upgrade to a 27 model !!

Green cars are the most affected by paint damage compared to any other color and Nissan has found a way to counter it

“Rather than using traditional green pigments that can degrade in sunlight, a blend of weather-resistant yellow and blue delivers the same rich green look with enhanced long-term durability.”

That explains something I noticed about the green Z, at certain lighting angles I noticed slight hints of those two colors....

This is good stuff. While I absolutely love my Infrared IS 500, the sunlight is really hard on the paint. I probably should have gone full PPF, but I didn't want that extra cost. Now it's too late (well, nothing is ever TOO late because I could still do it but it would require extensive paint repair and that costs even more money) to do it.

Brighter cars are amazing, but they also seem to show every imperfection and also attract so much bee shit, it's ridiculous.

I just put up a car port to counter the sun, it's especially hard on red. only sees the sun when I'm driving it 😎

Oh my car is absolutely garaged. But I still have to go places as it is also my daily driver. And the Southern California sun is merciless.

I'm also not super thrilled that I can't really wax it because it has some Resistall360 on it and you can't wax with that on there. The worst part is that the product is terrible as some bee shit stains are already permanently etched in the paint.

Weren’t you interested in a Sport in the green? For what it’s worth, I have zero regrets for getting my Sport. For me, after over a year of having it, it’s one of most fun cars I’ve ever owned, especially for the price. I look forward to driving it, every time. I love the red, but think the new green is fantastic. 😎

My local dealer already have a few of 2027 in transit, including nismo, performance, and sport. I guess the new 2027 Zs are not only special orders.

Yeah I'm not sure what they mean by special order. It is allocation based from what I can tell. So I gather demand will dictate supply and how many allocations dealers can reasonably get.

i actually dont think they will be selling like crazy unless there are good discounts on tjem. There will be a facelift for a 2027 mustang, Camaro will be out in a year or two. There are some good deals on C8 Stingrays too.

Has anyone had a close look at the new front bar, as i been quoted up the facelift for the new front end, however i wonder if existing front lips will fit the new front bar, front lips that wrap over say the middle of the vent area i don't think will fit however if the lip design wraps around the bottom of the might fit?
