yeah totally real it debuted at tokyo auto salon.

why the paddles are there I got no clue. could be a render error on their part but it also showed up in a technical slide presentation. my only wild guess if it was intentional would be maybe its there to activate the launch control? again no idea why it shows up like that

reckon they fixed the cracking head issue? thats stopping me from buying! how do u guys mod ur cars, knowing youll lose warranty and feel comfortable if the engine goes boom? lol isnt that a huge expense

Very nice, Nissan. I like the way this looks because when does an RZ34 not look good. The overall look reminds me of a Bullitt Mustang. Color combination does lean Porsche or something luxury. But I'm glad they dropped a green option. Wonder about the performance spoiler

Z badge looks good on the front, but the rear appears to be a Nissan badge. And eyelashes on the headlights look new.

Summary of the Torque management changes

Translated from the presentation

The Z NISMO’s VR30DDTT engine produces more torque (approx. 520Nm / 384 lb-ft) than the standard Z. The 6-speed manual transmission and clutch assembly required a specific "torque management" map to ensure the increased power wouldn't cause premature wear or failure of the transmission components.
Linear Power Delivery: Tamura-san emphasized that a NISMO should feel "precise." On a manual car, a sudden "spike" in torque can make the car harder to control during aggressive downshifts or when powering out of a corner. They retuned the torque curve to be more linear, giving the driver better modulation through the throttle pedal.
SynchroRev Match Optimization: The NISMO version has a unique "S-Mode" (SynchroRev Match) logic. Because the NISMO engine revs and responds faster than the standard Z, they had to retune how the engine "blips" the throttle during downshifts to perfectly match the NISMO’s specific gear ratios and flywheel weight.

Weight Balance Adjustment: Because the 6-speed manual transmission is lighter than the 9-speed automatic, the car’s center of gravity and front-to-rear weight distribution shifted slightly.
Spring & Damping Rates: To compensate for this weight difference, the NISMO 6MT features specific spring rates and damping curves to ensure the nose of the car remains as sharp and responsive as the automatic version during turn-in.

Tamura-san explained that the primary reason for using a 2-piece design (where the iron rotor is separate from the aluminum bell) is to handle the extreme heat generated during circuit driving.

  • He noted that when a traditional 1-piece rotor gets hot, it can warp or distort.
  • The 2-piece "floating" structure allows the rotor to expand and contract independently of the hub, preventing warping and maintaining a consistent pedal feel even after multiple hot laps.
2. Reduction of Unsprung Mass
They discussed the performance benefits of using aluminum for the inner "hat" or bell of the rotor.

  • By replacing the heavy cast iron center with aluminum, they significantly reduced the unsprung weight at each corner of the car.
  • This reduction was cited as a key factor in making the Z NISMO's suspension more "supple" and responsive, as it allows the dampers to react more quickly to changes in the road surface.
3. Braking Rigidity and "Feel"
Ito-san specifically mentioned that for the manual transmission version, the braking "feel" is even more critical because the driver is balancing three pedals.

  • They mentioned that the 2-piece rotors, paired with the NISMO’s larger calipers and specific high-friction pad compounds, were tuned to provide a very firm and "linear" initial bite.
  • This ensures that when the driver is heel-and-toeing (downshifting while braking), the brake pressure remains predictable and easy to modulate.
4. Visual & Functional Cooling
The conversation also briefly touched on how the increased diameter (380mm / 15-inch) and the specific ventilation vane design inside the rotors work with the new front bumper ducts.

  • The air is guided through the bumper directly onto these rotors to maximize the cooling efficiency that the 2-piece design enables.

i like the new bumper, however still need to see it in person and videos to get a clearer look. Will the new z badge fit right into the previous z? the wheels are bad but better than the current sport ones but i guess these wheels are going to be the sport model going foward?

Is this one specifically the 2027 "Heritage" model, or will all non-NISMOs get that nose/wheels?

I really like the new nose. Not sure if the emblem's recessed, at least they don't have the extended recess like the original rendering. If the distance between the the hood opening and the front of the nose is the same or similar, the Z emblem appears to be the same size as the current Nissan-hamburger. I'm not a hardcore badge shaver, but a lot of car culture people are. I can understand holes and recesses to help placement during manufacturing, but it would be nice if they made the front badge 'shaveable.' Just a little help to those who like to do their own thing.

Tan interior option is nice, especially with the heritage green exterior.

Weird that a manual has paddle shifters. Maybe they're repurposed for the turn signals. :ROFLMAO:
...although now that I think of it, that's not a terrible idea. I think there's only me and 16 others that actually use their blinkers anyway.

And they're addressing brake cooling, which is welcomed.

Wheels are OK.

Only critical thing from me is it needs a spoiler imho.

-> I would love to see this green one with the 240Z wide fender treatment and gold/bronze wheels.
