You'd be better off just getting an ams o mishimoto heat exchanger then trying to add a 2nd one if you need to mod the bumper.
You can also upgrade the tank for more coolant.
Or if you are doing drag racing or roll racing all you need is an ice tank.
Apparently you can just unplug if and tune out the CEL.
You are correct I was slightly mislead with that statement. However if the increased oil pressure wasn't a problem they wouldn't have created a oil filter with high tolerance. The increased pressure is probably making the value see more...
I think the location of the arrow in the diagram is wrong. It should be pointing to the upper neck of the LDP which is measured at 2.2 inches and then would drop to about 2.
There is no way it drops From ~2.75 to 2. That's definitely not what I saw.
Yeah slight drone but not unbearable. My cars not a daily so it doesn't bother me. If it was I probably would have splashed out for the AWE with it's any drone mufflers.
I think you are talking about a different thing. There is a solenoid In our engine that opens and closes to control oil pressure. It can lower oil pressure under certain conditions to help with mpg and emissions.
There is a problem that that it can fail in the open position I believe. This...
That's exactly what I said. There is a bypass value in the oil filter. If it detects oil pressure too high usually from the filter medium being clogged it opens to allow oil flow.
In our car the standard oil pressure because of a variable oil pump is above this threshold, so basically this...
* Warning don't use this filter! Or any other filter then the one listed.
People are giving very harmful information here by guessing and thinking they know better then the OEM. Yes there might by filters with more filtration medium however, these other filters not designed for the VR30 which...
Ok so i can't measure the flange as i'm not taking off the LDP but ive got the gasket which is close enough.
LDP - UDP Gasket is 2.6 inches.
LDP - UDP flange is 2.2 inches.
LDP - Exhaust is 1.75 inches
i measured the UDP - LDP Flange and it was about 2.75 inches, i didn't see a 2 inch...
Strange I contacted AMS before I installed mine as I'm not ready to tune my car yet. They advised me that I wouldn't get a CEL and it's been good so far.
The science is sound as the sensor is after the factory cat.
Total diameter is:
255/40r19 = 27.03" (687 mm)
265/35r19 = 26.30" (668 mm)
So running the 265 will make the front of the car sit abit lower and indeed throw off the "engineered" balance. Could make the front heavier and cause more understeer ect...
Has anyone chucked on new tyres on their OEM...
Interesting now that I look at the diagram and do the conversation.
I'm in Australia so I'm not sure if it different in the US but the UDP flange was significantly bigger then the flange that connects the LDP. That's not shown in the diagram it just has one measurement.
*I ran it through AI...
I installed the AMS catless LDP this weekend. The install was fairly easy but time consuming as I did it on jack stands.
I still retained the OEM cat in the UDP not CEL it any issues so far.
The LDP is probably the most restrictive part on the car. It goes from like 2.5 inch down to ~1.5...
You said the Factory divertor valve could cause DMG, that's not possible. a BOV, divertor valve, recirculating vale whatever you want to call it is the same thing. Vent to atmos is a open loop, recirculating is a closed loop.
OEM recirculating valves give better throttle response and are easier...
Not really sure what you are trying to say.
BOV's are previously stated by someone stop boost pressure from flowing back into the compressor when the throttle is shut. Having a BOV is a good thing and prolongs the life of your turbo.
A factory BOV might only have springs rated for 15 PSI of...
Blow off valves can't damage the turbos. Week factory bovs won't be able to hand boost pressures. For example if the factory bov can only handle 20 psi it will start to open and you won't be able to get more than 20 PSI of boost. less power but perfectly safe.
Even venting to atmosphere will...
How is the Drone without the ANC? is the ANC not cancelling out the Drone? cause it was really bad without the sub plugged in. But maybe that was interfering with it.
To be honest if you are getting straight through pipes there would be not much benefit in getting the AMS ones. There is not much engineering you can do on a three inch straight through pipe.
