Happens to me. Red works great. It helps you get your phone out with the torch on and look for your lost item. Easy. Forget white. Get RED.

I got two red led bulbs for the interior as the white led bulbs were blinding!! The boot/trunk is white. Red interior light is ideal. Trust me, give it a go and you'll love it. Very subtle.
