Got it thx. The parts lead guy in Courtesy Nissan of Tampa went through every avenue to get it for me was told by Nissan engineering that it was never adopted or installed. He doesn’t understand why this is being held back to 26 Heritage owners. This is a special vehicle and it would be great if Nissan does the right thing for customer

If 2026 Heritage Z’s are limited to only 500 and some obviously have the badge and some don’t, what’s the criteria? That’s my question for tomorrow.

Here’s a good picture of it and it appears to install by probably a 3M double stick tape to the console. Definitely a plastic type raised logo.
Agree it looks like an applied badge, likely with a 3M type adhesive strip. Now I want one..

I totally agree it states in their marketing and advertising that it comes with the 2026 Heritage Edition package. Running into no help from Nissan Consumer Affairs. They are saying it was never adopted or installed. It’s bs to me and it comes up as part restricted. I’m like yeah to our car. Here’s more evidence for you.

So I just contacted a very reliable/connected resource at Nissan to discuss this issue. I was told the ones with the badge already installed have been approximately 1 out of every 30 they have seen. Was also told we will only be able to order it with proof of vin and demonstrating our vehicle doesn’t already come equipped with it.

Some dealers will order heritage parts without VIN, I don't want to out anyone because I didn't even know this wasn't normally allowed.

Also there are some of these badges listed on Ebay, I'm not sure how they could do that if they were locked to heritage only models.

Edit: Also are we sure this is even a rule? I now decline every time Nissan has asked for my VIN because the one time I included it in the order it auto-cancelled my parts because I was ordering Nismo model Z parts but own a performance. Are we sure it isn't just this happening?

Has anyone tried ordering online from parts.nissanusa instead of dealership website?

Update:
So I spoke with a sales rep where I purchased my MNP Z. After explaining my life away, he proceeded to tell me that in order for them to honor the badge it needed to be part of the original write up as an “I owe You”. In addition he said even if it was an “I owe you” items needed to be obtained within 30 days of the original vehicle purchase. Before our conversation ended the rep told me he would get back to me on Monday to see if Nissan will be willing to get me the part that was advertised with my Z at no cost. He also kindly offered to get me the part at employee discount 😒. Yes folks he really did tell me I could buy the part I already paid $56k for.

Yes I had to show a picture of my console without the badge installed and I provided my vin#. The lead parts guy had no luck filling out the separate forms to order it. He then emailed me and said he was going to contact Nissan engineering and they responded back to him that the part was never adopted or installed on the cars. I am surprised if I see anyone respond and say they have it in their 26 Heritage Edition. It’s false/deceptive advertising on Nissan corporate side that has made it through copy and marketing. False/Deceptive advertisement is illegal. I believe all 26 Heritage owners are owed the package that was advertised to them. Keep me updated for sure.

Yep that’s why the parts for the Heritage Z are restricted to VIN specific so nobody can just order the Heritage mats etc
I provided all that information to the dealer and they hit a brick wall once they gave it to DPIC. What on eBay was it under? Thx

Yep, I don’t want you to lose hope so keep me updated on this one because Nissan is taking the hard line on this and standing by that it was never adopted or installed on the vehicle plus it was never part of the final design process and is not available to purchase. I will be very surprised if he actually gets his way. All Heritage Edition owners should be getting this part sent to them because that is part of their package. I have owned multiple Nissan vehicles in the past including a new 05 350 convertible with the burnt orange seats. They make a great product but have always have been known for weak customer service. Let me know what comes of this because either way legally they owe the owners the interior badge logo.

But I HAVE ordered heritage parts without a VIN and received them, and I do not own a Heritage. That's my point.

The counter guy always asks for a VIN(the website also), but like today I just picked up another Nismo part and enquired about some other part while I was there, and he asked for a VIN and I just said I'm adding the parts to a different model and gave him the year and model of the Nismo parts I wanted.

I've done the same thing ordering heritage parts online, I didn't put a VIN in the order and when the dealer contacted me and asked for one I declined and said I would be responsible for ensuring part fitment.

Maybe I just got lucky on the Heritage parts, but I'm wondering if everyone is just getting tripped up by the normal Nissan process of asking for a VIN to ensure part fitment.

I'm half tempted to order this badge from one of the Nissan dealers on Ebay and seeing what happens.

It can’t hurt trying. I can’t imagine why Nissan are denying the part never was adopted when there is a part # is out on every dealership parts department. I didn’t see who was selling it on eBay. Can you screenshot shot it? Thx

If you have to take it to the next level please bring me along. The lead parts guy in Tampa gave me a very good contact so together we can push this through. This shouldn’t require the effort I have already put into it.
