What on gods green earth were they thinking 🤣
Why were so many morons driving on the sand in the first place??

Unless you're terminally stupid, you should never take a regular car onto the beach. You're simply asking for trouble. Even 4x4s often aren't that sensible on sand either.

I don’t even understand how they got it out….how that wheel didn’t bend under the pressure is beyond me, there’s a reason that cars have towing points under the car connected to solid steel, by rights this should of been a huge disaster.
They should have bought a lotto ticket after getting it out

C8 Corvette for $62k ?

So I built the absolute base model C8 on the Chevrolet website , and the cheapest C8 is about $60k . Is it possible to actually pay that much for a new C8 ? I know dealerships can increase the price with their bullshit add-ons , but has anyone actually paid near $60k ?

Looking at used C8s online , the cheapest is about $80k . It this because of the options that were added to the car - convertible , level 2 engine etc ?

The short answer is yes.
Order one at big dealers like Ciocca (formerly Kerbeck) of Atlantic City (and others).
Pay $1000, and wait for 6-12 months.
You can order a Z06 if you want. That wait will be even longer.

Top three is US
YTD RANKDEALERCITYSTATEYTD SALES
1CIOCCA/KERBECKATLANTIC CITYNJ1481
2MACMULKIN CHEVROLET CADILLACNASHUANH1160
3CRISWELL/MIKE FURMANGAITHERSBURGMD583

They get more quota. The wait is shorter.

They do courtesy delivery to your local Chevy dealer. You pay local dealer from $300 to $1000 (depends) for the trouble and pre-delivery inspection/preparation. Paper works will be ready for your registration in your state. They will tell you which dealers near you do courtesy delivery. Usually, there is one near you.

Why I know?
I almost did it.... until I saw the new Z and decided to wait.
Everything you need to know about C8 can be answered here.

Thank you for taking the time to type that out, I appreciate it. I guess it all depends on if I want to wait 6 months for a z, or pay a bit more, and wait 6 months to a year for a c8

For C8, the wait is more like 12 months than 6.
There has been people who waited ONLY 6 months... so, your luck varies.
It really is incredible - thousands of people in line, waiting to spend $60k - $100k for a new car.

They really have us consumers by the balls
