Just curious, I have the Sport model Z w/400 HP VR30DDTT also same as Performance model, how does the Nismo engine have 20 more HP? I check one out in the dealer, couldn't see any difference? Also checked out the maintenance manual don't see any difference in the air intake????Could it be internal tuning? (valve timing)

I would be interested in the intercooler water capacity. If its a easy part to install on sports/performance

The performance trim is actually faster in the track than the sport trim due to the LSD.

Don’t get a RWD Nissan without LSD. It’s night and day difference in driving quality.

Nothing but a tune.

For cooling though It has one more aux radiator and one more aux heat exchanger lacated in front of the left and right front wheels.
the extra cooling would make me think that the 20 more hp comes from a bit higher boost

You could add it if you buy it and all the mounts/lines, but you would need the Nismo front bumper and fender liners to feed it as the performance/sport has no air flowing where it sits. Another interesting note, the Nismo heat exchanger water pumps are a different part number to the sport/formance but appear identical externally(higher flow pumps maybe?).

Nismo fender liner with air outlet for the cooler(it also has a small diffuser into the wheel well unlike the sport/formance):

Inlet on the Nismo for this cooler circled(the other side inlet goes to an aux radiator that connects to the top of the main radiator and lower coolant hose, which is why catch cans have trouble fitting on the Nismo because most of them mount where the new aux radiator hose enters the main radiator.)

Wheel well diffusers and flat underbody panes of the Nismo:

Some aftermarket bumpers have inlets on the bumper sides that might be able to feed these coolers also, like the libertywalk.
