The Nismo seems to be set up for a intermediate level driver. The springs feel soft especially the front and the 255 on a 10" wheel in the front is a troll by Nissan, understeer king..

I put a 275 on the front and kept the 285 on the rear and this transformed the car. The front has much more feel and is wayyy more precise. The only thing the OE Duncraps were good at is throwing rocks..

I will try to find the rates out. Only thing I have is this slide for the suspension

the NISMO can understeer a bit but is subject to snap oversteer at times.?

Thank you for the response.

From what I gathered thus far in terms of aftermarket progresssive springs or variable springs type used in our Z.

Z34 swift Springs RZ34
F- 10kg/mm. 11.3kg/mm
R- 10.5kg/mm. 10kg/mm

kW V3 springs z34 (motoiq) vs RZ34
Progressive F- 8.5kg - 10.5 kg ??
R- 4kg - 9kg. ??

Nismo coilovers E3110-RRZ34
ST XTA PART-NO.: 18285807-370z

These somewhat look the same and confirmed by conceptZ that Nismo and kW/ST has done a collab to make the Nismo coilovers E3110-RRz34 tuned by Nissan criteria.

HKS Hipermax S also increased the rates and damping from the 370 to RZ34. Also with Hipermax R

FAIRLADY Z (Z) RZ34VR30DDTT 22/07- SF=118(12)/R=108(11)

FAIRLADY Z (Z) Z34VQ37VHR 08/12-21/09 SF=98(10)/R=88(9)

Correct, 275/35/19F and 285/35/19R... Saved 8lb total weight over the Dunlops. A 295/35/19R is possible but the tire choices are limited..

I’m curious about the spring rates as well.

As for the understeer, the front tires are stretched almost as much as the stance guys like. The rears are as well, but not as bad. 275 should be the minimum of the front, and maybe even 285s.

Remember, lawyers require understeer because that is easy for most drivers to recover (just let off the throttle).

My OEM shocks / springs are out of the car in a box if anyone knows a place that is willing to measure the rates locally. I am in central NJ.

Bringing this thread back with some new info that hopefully will help others. I contacted Bilstein with regards to their B16 (PSS10) kit. It is the same for the RZ34 as it is for the Z34. Part Number 48-165815.
I did some digging and found that it is pretty agreed upon that the PSS10 kits are better performing than the KW V3 kits when it comes to track days. It is a little concerning to me how light the front rates are.

Front: 342 Lbs/in (6.10742 Kg/mm)
Rear: 514 Lbs/in (9.179 Kg/mm)

I also contacted KW. They won’t give out spring rate info at all. He told me that they are progressive so he doesn’t have any spring rate information.
