Agree 1000% I know they took inspiration from the G nose S30 but the stock bumper still looks better. Even the customized Proto looks better than this bumper. And idk what Nissan was smoking when they made it auto only and 100 lbs heavier on top of the already heavy auto version.
I agree that the standard Z still looks great. Perhaps more cohesive in design.

Still like the standard Z's front end, it's unique, nothing else out there, instantly recognizable. The Nismo's is more derivative, generic IMO. Who else thinks the same?
Neither is perfect. However, IMHO the Nismo bumper looks "softer', as it lacks the sharp angles of the STD version and it's Nismo 370Z predecessor.

I think something along these lines would have been better. Sharper angles.

And a bigger opening.

The Impul's body kit designer understood the standard bumper just needs some angles to look aggressive. This kit is a bit too much, but the important thing is the angles it offers.

I was told the reworked grill/mouth was necessary because the car needed more cooling

im guessing flow to the upgraded oil cooler is located somewhere there on the sides?

Makes sense because the original spy photos didn't have an extended grill on the sides.

that and I was told by Mike Carcamo at nismo that the GT4 racecar program had a direct effect on the redesigned mouth for cooling. remember the new concept that looked at first like that just cut the opening?

the street car is an OEM version of this change

I think this was testing the customized edition package bumper and not the Nismo.

I think this was indeed an early NISMO test car because it was running NISMO wheels from the 370z and you could barely make out the white NISMO logo on the seats
