Mine was made 12-12-22 and delivered 13-04-2023. 4 months and a day after production. Sat somewhere in Japan for most of that time. But the point is this car and many others are showing up as being made from Dec to Feb week 2 …that’s anywhere between 12-18 weeks ago, and still not on a boat?
Meanwhile the dealerships are now full of unsold cars.
So what’s really going on? Even if the Feb builds haven’t left what’s the excuse for the December one when there have been plenty of other Nissans sent after that time, and why are they prioritising unsold cars for customers that have been waiting 2 years.
I know they make more from other models, but if they haven’t sold them they are giving up money from sold Zs that will at least pay for the production of them with a little to spare …and if they have really been made that’s money they need rather than risk more and more cancelled orders.
None of it makes sense. I wouldn’t even be surprised if they haven’t been made yet because it just doesn’t add up
By the time the Dec build gets here it will be 6months old that’s if it leaves in the next three weeks.
Really??
I’ve had October 2022 and February 2023 as proposed delivery dates along the way (at least in writing).
If you are keen for a Z, keep waiting, it’ll arrive.
