Biggest road trip about 1500km total. Single days just for a fun drive I've done 6-7hrs pretty regularly, maybe ~500ish km. I find it a really good car for a long day out.
Nice one mate epic part of the world for driving. Can highly recommend either heading back to ACT via Tumut, or on to Albury via either Granya or Tallangatta. My favourite drive ever is down this way:Eildon-Jamison Road; 400 corners in 60km.
Isn’t the Nismo USA system made by Borla? Will be interesting to see how this new system is different. Same as the intake being an AMS rebrand.
I was keen on the Nismo Japan exhaust but had heard that it’s not much of an improve on the stock systems due to Japanese noise regulations, & if...
Have been thinking the same, although I wonder if US features like Nissan Connect, Sirius XM etc might make it harder to get working here.
Personally I reckon a good thing to chase from a US wreck could be the AT (louder) exhaust.
My thoughts, at least the good thing with Z is we've got a spread of demographics with the car going from 240Z to the current gen. It's a good scene & mix of people to be around vs some other cars.
Congrats! Nice time of the year to get it. I've seen a few posts re: exhausts on the AU Facebook sites for the new Z so it might be worth posting there too (I haven't changed mine).
Yes it looks like the kick plates were almost a standard dealer inclusion in the USA. The scuff guard install instructions (along with a bunch of others) are on the Nissan USA tech info site:

Looks like double sided tape...
Anyone buy anything interesting on Black Friday sales? I finally ordered the illuminated kick plates, have had my eye on them a while. Nissan USA had some discounts running on parts. Also ordered the Nismo oil + radiator caps.
Cheers for the tip we'll definitely do that. I've only done a small part of the roads out that way, start of last year in a Q60 RS I hired to get an early taste of the Z engine. There was snow over the roads up top so we couldn't get far. If we make the drive I'll post up some pics; I also saw...
Could anyone who's done their own oil change advise what access is like underneath for the sump plug & filter? I'm thinking of picking up some ramps soon, but the low profile ones I've seen aren't particularly high.
