so my dealer actually reached out to me last week.

it was a bit of a nothing update just to say we are still monitoring but no update.

which I still appreciate just to say they are keeping track.

now I ordered June 11 2022 so very late in that window so really not expecting a car.

however I was their 4/5 order. I cannot remember exactly.

And they have no updates on any of the prior orders either as I was curious and asked

Now we also know around May 22 they announced over 1200 deposits
https://www.drive.com.au/news/2023-nissan-z-price-and-specs-up-to-22810-more-than-370z/

Now we also know from vfacts that they are delivering under 68 a month as not on the sports 80k and under list other than one month last year.
https://www.drive.com.au/news/vfacts-march-2023-new-car-sales-australia/

So yeah right now on current work if you ordered June last year expect mid next year depending on how many pull out.

now I personally know just over 10 people with orders and none have pulled out

yes there have been some we see from the internets but Iā€™m guessing the majority are still in.

I personally think number will increase but still expect an early 24 delivery.

the big question is when the build date was.
My order was late Jan 22, dealer tells me that I am now 1st on their list for a blue manual, no real delivery estimates

As one of the first Coupes up for sale Iā€™m very surprised that it hasnā€™t sold yet. Have you had any interest?
Just biding my time with this car, the longer it stays the happier Iā€™d be, and who knows if Supra gets better price Iā€™d keep Z. This Z is growing into me, appreciate the design details these guys put into it, itā€™s a clean timeless classic look.

My order was 9 June 2022 and somehow got very lucky and picked up my car 3 weeks ago.

Ordered end of Dec 2022.

Osb Park Nissan emailed me:

ā€œAs per phone conversation, our WA Nissan contact has not received any information for you at this stage.
I will continue to keep you in the loop.ā€

I ordered from Dandenong, pretty disappointed tbh. I'm glad I've also ordered a GR Yaris Rallye

What color and transmission did you go for.
I rang Essendon Nissan a few weeks back regarding a demo and was offered a yellow, black or gray manual, even though i have never dealt with this dealer. My order is with Sydney dealer.

The wait for my new plates is almost (weā€™ll not really) as bad as the wait for the car. This is the queue at the licensing centre to just get into the ticketed queue inside the centre!

Ahhhh I see, I purchased a white manual. Nice of them to give you offers though.

I do have a question for any Z owners both in this thread from Australia or abroad the have the Auto... can you feel the gears changing... as in does it jerk just a little bit or is it just smooth on the upshift? The downshift? I've just watched a couple in-car video reviews and it just seems smooth and no real push/pull in the camera footage... it is a M-Benz gearbox? If so, which model again? I will do the google.

MB 9-speed auto, I think it's the JATCO trans.

Upshifts are super smooth - butter.
Downshifts at cruising speeds are tad chunkier, but negligible.
Downshifts at lower speeds (gear 3 to 2, 40km to 30/25km) are quite clunky. You both hear it and feel it.

Basically... In lower speeds downshifts, you feel the engine braking.
