Damn man.

I was just talking with my coworkers about this company, and how my boss back in 1995 had a V8 Miata (not sure which company did that one, but it was a kit)

But hey, "I'm the government and I'm here to help, give me your (___________) you won't be needing that anymore, now don't you feel better? Oh, and equity and all that too...."

Now wondering if I should just get this while still CARB legal...

50-State emissions-legal on 18-21 Mustangs (CARB E.O. #D-418-41).

There are heat soak issues, i.e. pull timing, on sustained tracking, why haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I have LT headers on my truck, the manufacturer of them recently ceased production of them and destroyed remaining stock to comply with the EPA. That means no spare parts.

Make sure if they discontinue that kit, they don't also discontinue support

"There are three types of junk fees that the FTC is targeting:
  • Unnecessary charges for worthless, free, or fake products or services
  • Unavoidable charges imposed on captive consumers
  • Surprise charges that secretly push up the purchase price
This doesn't mean all unnecessary fees will be curtailed, such as adjusted dealer markup (ADM), which is usually added to high-demand, low-allocation cars. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like ADM is going anywhere soon. However, I don't think anyone is going to complain about the FTC cracking down on dealerships charging bate-and-switch feels for useless, non-existent items."

As long as they don't go after the $35k worth of lifetime car washes, good for them.

"Buyers resent low inventories, prices over MSRP, study says"
https://www.yahoo.com/autos/buyers-resent-low-inventories-prices-211000746.html

Maybe ... but buyers keep paying the prices. Until buyers show some restraint and fiscal sense, there is little reason for dealers not to charge ADM and other shenanigans.
You can't get everyone to behave the same.

Plenty of people don't mind to spend too much, for whatever reason, they must have a new vehicle.

Currently enough of these customers for the limited inventory.
