+1 re: the exhaust. @Dan_Passe or anyone else, are you able to clarify what exhaust the manual performance trim comes with?
its the same exhaust. just the automatic in sport mode has an open valve thus sounding much better then the manual

Are you saying the 6MT has the exact same exhaust as the 9AT, with a valve, that doesn't get opened on the 6MT?
It's short sighted on Nissan's part. Every Mustang GT/Mach 1has a sport mode that changes the exhaust valve with either manual or automatic.

Can we definitively rule out there isn't some kind of function that enables a "Sport Exhaust" for the 6MT? Pretty much every video has been the 9AT. The video of the Boulder Grey one revving had a rep saying there is no Sport mode but there may be something else to active it 🤷‍♂️.

What I don't understand is that an active exhaust means that valves are opened based on conditions. Why not just put same exhaust on manual with valves open instead of putting quieter exhaust on?

There is not. If the rep said so you better believe it to be true until release. The rep that stated this in that video works for Nissan NA corp. His name is Jonathan Buhler. He's been one of the individuals that has been touring the Z all over NA. If there is anything to believe among the non-stop speculation and rumors on this forum, believe what he says.

Man, y'all are really going down a rabbit hole about the exhaust. Absolutely no facts, other than the sound difference, are being stated in any way here.

Actually this isn't a rumor. It was specifically confirmed by a Nissan rep (Jonathan Buhler) of Nissan NA Corp. See videos below:

Here he is being introduced at 3:45

Same guy that is talking here about the exhaust at 12:25. He is all throughout this video here talking about exhaust and Z in general.

The bad info I'm talking about is people assuming that there's an unused exhaust valve on the 6MT muffler, that the "6MT and 9AT have the same exhaust"

If the 9AT models have selectable exhaust, that's a mechanical function that costs money. If the 6MT doesn't have that function, I highly doubt Nissan would leave that expensive part on the exhaust and not connect it to the ECU.

I mean the person as in “johnathan buhler” directly quoted thats one of the downfalls in the manual where as the a/t when you go sport mode it opens up the muffler. Keep in mind that his word is pretty much solid as he is a senior specialist at nissan usa HQ. Also im pretty sure a/t does cost more. If @Dan_Passe wants to shed some light into this would be great, or any extra info as well 🥺

It's hard for me to tell exactly what is being said after, "which opens up the muffler, this one...". Then it sounds something like, "straight, it's just normal." Captions don't help for that part of the video.

Is it "normal" as in normal exhaust/no valve, or normal as in same exhaust stuck the way it sounds when not in Sport mode on the AT. I would think the first one as previously mentioned, but even if there is a valve that is in a set position on the MT, it can likely be modified/removed to open it up all the way permanently.

Yeah sucks that we only get little bits n pieces of info. But yeah he even says it definitely needs an exhaust after he says that 😂. Not a huge issue cuz im sure people are going aftermarket exhaust anyways

True. I'll probably order whatever new downpipes and exhaust Fast Intentions offers before I even get the car 😂
